The Toyota CVT transmission has got the recommended oil type (TC or FE) engraved on the transmission oil filling plug. Always check your transmission prior to oil change.

I have bought a Toyota passo hana plus. I got the engine ali changed and coolant topped up. The car is driven 55k from japan. The mechanic replaced the previous oil with 5w30 and as i have read in the user manual its written recomend 0w20 , so is 5w30 ok.
As the car is driven 55k and I'm not sure wether the cvt oil was changed so should i get that changed.

5w30 is fine, actually the best for our environment. And 5w30 is also mentioned in manual im sure i read it in mine. As far as cvt oil is concerned, check the color and level from dipstick. It should be bright pink and not darkish brown. The Japanese usually tend to do these maintenance on time so im guessing it has been changed at 40k. But u should still check to be on safe side

Today i got the battery changed but one problem that I'm noticing is that the auto driver side window switch is not working properly. The button needs to be kept pressed to lower the window its not working on auto, is this normal?

It will get normal when u do it a few times its usually because the ecu is reset when you unplug the battery for any purpose

Before changing the battery the the eco idle stop function was not working and the icon was flashing in orange colour. After replacing the batter the icone is not flashing but the eco idle function is also not working.

Keep the PW button constantly pressed when closing your window. Keep it pressed for another 5 seconds even after the window has closed and try your auto mechanism again. This should fix your problem, good luck!
