I used 5W40 valvoline last time but I am going to switch back to Total Quartz 5W30 because oil reduction has not stopped with valvoline and also it is not a renowned brand and not readily available.

Valvoline is one of the oldest lube brands in the world and world renown. Better than Total.

No oil will stop oil consumption as the issue is in the engine.

A genuine 0w20 and 5w30 Valvoline is superior to all the brands except Mobil 1 and perhaps Amsoil. Or as good as them.

Caltex / Havoline is also one of the finest brands, and if they introduce here 5w-30, and in fully synthetic, I may prefer it over Total!

Get 10W-30 its good oil from Havoline for its price, best for users who want to do 5K OCI.

Just came across this group. I have a 2013 passo x. After reading about the suspension of the car, what actually was my main motivation to find the thread, I wanna ask if the suspension of this particular car really is noisy on bad roads like the roads that have joints etc. I have personally experienced that on highways it is as smooth and grippy as honey but on patched jointed roads, it makes noise, sometimes so much on bigger potholes and spaced cat-eyes that it feels if I need to change the suspension as a whole. I've also checked for the bushes and seals if they're leaked or something but they are fine.

But the steering portion doesn't make any noise. Is it really the issue with it?

Almost all these Japanese cars produce weird sounds when passing through potholes and cat eyes.

Will it reduce any further fuel economy while switching from 5W30, beacuse I have already experienced 2km/l degradation in fuel economy?

Brother as far as I know, 5w-30 VS 10w-30 of course make a difference, in Kinematic Viscosity at 40 and 100 degree Celsius, but its not that much.

You might experience some minor drop in fuel efficiency when compared to 5w-30, but while switching from 5w-40 to 10w-30, I think no further drop in fuel efficiency.
