Boon or passo main koi difference hai?
No difference except different names, even both companies are same daihatsu and toyota as you must have already known. They are selling the same car with two names.
Farukh you are really amazing.. very good knowledge... I was infect planning to buy a Passo from your review I am 100% agree with you... only one confusion... that is its part availability and mechanics... please tell me are both facilities are easily available.
Thanks alot for appreciation. You should definitely go for passo. For now on parts (body) are not easily available from everywhere in the city and one have to check chah sultan etc like areas, other things like oil air filter brake pads etc etc are all available. I am sure the market will be flooded with its parts in a few months.
I'm in for this club....
am going to buy a passo in coming future...was confused if its good or not but noticing the increasing passo's/boon on road and after reading your comparison am definitely gonna buy it
Just a few questions
Is there any diffrence in Passo and Boon??
Does Passo have 3 gear or 4 gear??
Does it have an O/D button??
Is it 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder??
Thats generous of you
for your queries
1- answered many times in this thread; no difference
2- 4 gears A/T
3- Yes O/D on means car will go in 4th gear and O/D off means car will remain in first 3 gears while driving in D.
4- Hmmmmm i have heard from everyone that being a 1KR-FE engine it has 3 cylinders but in my book its written that its 4 cylinder (its end 2006 model). Idk if that is a mistake or not. I have seen another boon of a friend and he also says that in book 4 cylinders are written. But from all the people i heard it is 3 cylinder so there is some ambiguity. Hope some experienced passo owner confirm it.
i like passo! nice car! potential buyers should must opt it over zero meter alto or cultus!
Yes passo is a good car, but if one want cheap car with all parts available and to run it on cng then cultus or alto is better but cultus is almost 10.5 lac 2012 after all initial expenses so its better now to save 4 lacs and enjoy boon.
as I am also in same situation where you are... so I have gathered much information about Passo I can give answer few of them...
there is no difference between Passo and Boon... Passo is Toyota brand and Boon is Daihtsu rest of everything is same I have checked physically .
Passo have 5 gears I guess... other members will confirm... also it has cable wire in race so there is chance CNG could installed in it.
Passo have 4 gears. And yes it have cabled throttle, like normal cars which are in pak cultus cuore etc so cng can be installed. But but but i have driven a cng passo and believe me it was no fun, no low end torque. The car just drive like its sailing even when you press the pedal to the metal.
other members will guide you more
Passo is the next vitz in pk market.
- haven't seen any passo that doesn't come with O/D button.
- Transmission is automatic with 4 gears (its not CVT like Vitz)
- 1.3 may have 5 gears but this needs a confirmation
- Throttle is cabled, well suited for CNG with plenty of space in trunk
- 1.0 engine is 1KR-FE thats got 3 cylinders. Almost exactly same as vitz
- Apart from brand, only major difference between Boon/Sirion and Passo is transmission lever positioning (possibly left or right hand drive too)
- This car is going to catch great resale value with time
- Most cars available do not have 8 air bags, generally they are provided with 2 air bags
- Passos with HID and 8 air bags are easily above 900,000.
- In around 850,000 you can get mid-option vehicle in good condition
Great info Farukh...
Thanks bro. I have full option one but still there are no 8 airbags :D, only two :(. I even havent seen one with 8 airbags. Have you seen any with 8 airbags. I havent seen it myself, just heard from one person that passo comes in 8 airbags. Its vitz which comes in 8 airbags.
