pcv se kafi fark para, parts central imported it for me from japan.that is the reason that now it is consuming less oil on 0w20 when compared to oil consumption on 20w50.
PS I have vitz not passo but both have same engine
Agreed. PCV should be changed after some time on these engines but try to get the orig pcv valve by part number.
thats nice! can you quantify the reduction before and after pcv?like my car needs 5-600ml top up
I have not measured it in ml but previously with clogged pcv and 20w50 and then 5w30 it used to drop very fast on the dip stick. you can say bari tezi se level girta tha and I used to change on 3000 or max 4000 now after pcv and on 0w20 I buy 4 litres can and pour in 3.1 litres and then use the 0.9 litres for top up and stretch it to 5000 Alhumdolellah
This is the thing I got. Sharing it for you so that u can have an idea and also note the part number
500 or 600 ml is nothing. it is well within range. I am using 900ml for top up till 5000km so still ur car engine is better than mine
Nope that's not the case. Check pcv. If that doesn't solve your issue then go for the last recommended oil for this engine according to user manual.
Pcv check to karien. Two initial causes are leakage or a malfunctioning pcv valve.
my car consumption is 100% copy of yours that is if i switch back to 5w 30 with 5000km drain interval
me and my friend both hv 2012 model cars. he has vitz and i hv passo. both cars near 1lac driven.auction sheet cars. first owners. both cars consuming same
Co incidentally my car is also 2012 model vitz with more than 1 lac on clockI have observed that toyota addressed this oil consumption issue in face lift spider shape after 2014 onwards models.
