launch price plus other costs takes it above 5 million. Give me this 50 thousand US dollars ( with current rate of exchange) and I will add another $8K from my pcokets and buy a Tesla Model S. Prius is for gas savings as well as being greener. I belive this will be the price of base model.
Buy a brand new Civic and keep that 2500000 for fuel in a bank. Taking 100/ltr for fuel as an average.. you can have 25000 litre of petrol. taking 15KM/ltr as average one can drive 400K KM's.. its like making a circle around the world at equator for 10 times... (H)
Drving comfort as well as features Civic/Corolla will be much better. Prius is not a luxury car. but in Pakistan at this price point .. people will buy and drive and feel proud of it having prius..
But I dont blame indus as well. inflation/ dollar is around 102.. so there are factors pushing this number to this height.
Prius and Honda civic hybrid are almost at same price, 1.5L Hybrid. in International Market. I will choose Civic Hybrid.. and I think If Honda Pakistan did it.. they will spoil prius market with big blow..
