your engine burnt out 700 ml of 10w40 in 100 kms and but didnt do that on 20w50..

this is not quite beleiveable, unless your 20w50 is 40w80 grease.

ahahah Yes Brother, Actually this what mechanic told me at Aisha manzil Triptonic guy, i guess he was Faking me and trying to tell me that Engine needs overhauling and trying to make some bucks.

I took car to him for Checkup he said 700 ML Kum hai Engine Banayga Apka lol
So i guess he was Faking and trying to make some bucks from me but i left him accepting his thoughts k yes its less .

Well 20w50 Havoline there is no Oil Deduction since then i am checking it , i will Switch back to 10w40 in next oil change.

Ive seen some mechanics try to do such tricks by parkign the car tilted on ramps or pulling the dipstick on a fresh shut off engine.

Yes this is how they do. BTW after that i went to another mechanic, he cleaned the Slugged from lower pan where the oil is lifted and cleaned that jali of oil picker and he poured 20w50 then Havoline, from then i am using same grade. its about 2 months .

Further i am very much sad about those VVTI Rattle sound, timing chain sound, Tensioer Sound. can you suggest any mechanic in karachi who can replace these things in my engine so i can get good enigine sound.

call upon Jamil Autos 0300 223 7538 Irshad. Go there ask for diagnosis and remedy to resolve the issue. Take your time and decide in couple of days. cold start rattling in a VVTI engine is not an issue specially of oil grade and change interval is messed up right from beginning.

Noted Bro. i will pay them a visit. Actually this Sound is from the start since i bought the car and this sound came as well when i parked the car after a long drive so something inside is messing up. its not crank shaft sound but dont know something else. will show to Jamil Autos.

And yes i rememebr i visited 2 months back there. there shop was closed that time in Afternoon only one guy was working in car and Irshad bhai was away for around 2 hours on some work. i guess it was lockdown day and he was handling some car anywhere. But iwill visit them again. they are on main Shara e qaideen from Jail Chowrangi .

He needs brand new vvt pulleys and a timing set to rid of that noise, the sump is also removed to remove timing cover on his engine.

This is a global noise issue in corolla and camry and almost all modern toyota vvti engines.

means it is a global issue and no tech bulletin has been issued in this respect. Or Indus simply ignored it for corollas.

JDM Scraps are exempted to such factory recall to fix issues.

there is no tech bulletin yet as the problem happens later on in life. The noise is only momentary though. Ive seen engines running for 100,000 miles with that noise. If at any time the engine is making baby rattle noises while running warmed up with its correct oil lube viscosity (in this case its 5w30) - then you have an issue.

People in Pakistan just shove 20w50 in it and want "quiet engine" - no matter if its running like trash and guzzling fuel.

anyway - toyota are quite famous for this sort of support, their entire run of the 2AZ engine is faulty, earlier ones have faulty cylinder blocks and later ones have bad rings on pistons - they only rebuilt engines of customers who were original owners and used dealer to service their cars.

7AFE and early 1ZZ-FE had similar issues with oil control rings and toyota did nothing abt it. They know their customers wont argue because "toita - toita aye"

Sir please shed some light on fuel economy vs valve clearence.
And sir on newly rebuild engine i use from the lowest allowed clearence and economy boosts up.
But on other hand on losse clearence it sufferes low end torque and economy.

Its hilarious to listen to someone like that. - They literally start blabbering garbage from their mouth as if they are the original designer of the equipment.

But when questioned about it. you find they are not and all their recommendation relies on outdated garbage information passed as gospel under command of whip from ustaad.

I experience the same too, correctly set valve clearances give best driving response and best service life.

I am now a days facing misbalanced valve clearence issues on different cylinders on same engine with poor performance and economy. But when all cylinders are setted on lowest specs power is produced equally in all cylinders
