Knocking on 50 kmph and gone if accelerate more or drive in S Mode
Fuel light still blinking and 27 km driven while blinking

What should be the average fuel consumption of 2009 vitz 1.0? Mine is giving me around 10. Using Toyota engine oil 10w 30

My 2009 1.0ltr gives an average of between 14 and 15 km/l with ac on (blower on 1) and some traffic, avg speed of 30 to 50 kms/hr (we don't have highways in my country) but it all depends on how hard you press on the accelerator, engine maintenance, and the load you carry in your car

Its normal depending upon driving conditions ,I get 10.5 with ac in Peshawar traffic , but In isb local driving under same conditions I get 13-14 kmpl ,

i have bought vitz 2006 5 months back and it was 60,000 km run.... i have 2 problems...

1. when my car goes around 30-40 Kmph there is sound of KHAR KHAR..... its not knocking....... its like that engine is missing (one point to mention that i keep my foot low on accelerator while driving for better fuel economy)................. i have changed sparks plug, engine oil, air filter, oil filter but that sound is still there...... is it transmission problem??????... help me out

2. my second problem came in last 5 days..... and is that, when i start my car there is no check light, but when i drive 10-15 m the engine check light blow up...... i faced no problem while driving...... i got the sensor check from computer and an error came "P1589 - ACCELERATOR SENSOR LEARNING VALUE"..... I ALSO GOT IT ERASED FROM SCANNER BUT IT CAME AGAIN AND AGAIN" ... I GOT THROTLE BODY AND MAF SENSOR CLEANED but no faida........ does anybody know about this P1589-ACCELERATOR SENSOR LEARNING VALUE.......... what is it............. plz help me.... thanx a lot

I just imported a Toyota Vitz Jewela 2013 which will arrive next month. Inshallah
I have few questions to ask.
1 : is it really underpowered ? i go to nothern areas twice a year will it make any problem with 4 people ?
2 : Fuel consumtion ? does it really give 15 16 in city and 18 19 on long drives ?
3 : availabilty of spare parts in Multan ?
4 : by your experience what and what not do with vitz ?

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. Last week I went for changing my Vitz tires. At the shop I came across a set of rims which I liked and so changed the rims as well. OEM rims are 5J in width while the alloy rims are 5.5J. At that time I didn't give it much thought but now I feel that rims are slightly bulging out. I can also sometimes hear sudden "tick sound" when I press the brake pedal, especially when parking the car in the garage. Are these slightly wider (5.5J) rims going to effect the suspension in the long run or is it fine to have such a minor width alteration??
