Sir i am using kixx 5w30 fully synthetic with change interval of 4000 kms in my vitz 2004 for last 5 years..
I used 3.2 litre oil. But after 4000 kms around 400-500 ml oil reduced and after 2500kms the oil starts to get darker very quickly.. With no smoke white or blue?
Is is ok? Total mileage is 160k kms.

It's fine just perform a smoke test on your vehicle will try to make a video of how to perform smoke test that's the only thing which shows the condition of the engine

Assalamualiekum , brother secondly I asked you about high octane, I am running both accord and vitz on total excellium 97 ron....is that ok?

High octane fuel of pakistan is not recommended for Local Drive condition like short trip drive conditions in city mode.

It would cause a lot of soot layers form up in combustion chambers. Which results in raised compressions ratios which will lead to premature engine rings failure.
If you want to use high octane only use it on Long routes on Highways where you will drive the vehicle regularly on high speed cruise for more than 1 hour. On this drive condition high octane would not form soot layers.

Yes i ve also observed smoother + better acceleration + better mileage as well ;- just by mixing. Not fullll Hi Octane

AOA. I have Toyota Vitz 2011 1KR-FE engine. I purchased the car month a go and mileage on speedometer was 100K. I am facing the issue of reducing engine oil. after purchasing the car i change the oil and put Havoline Formula SAE 10W-30 (At that time oil Gage was very low and it was showing near below doted spot of Gage). after driving 1K it reduce almost 400ML and after that i drive for another 1.2K and now it reduce 800ML. Not sure whats the reason behind this as car is good in driving with good power.

Please also recommend best oils brands. Should i change Havoline to Liqui Moly 10W-40, petron of Toyota or same with my current Havoline Formula SAE 10W-30(Although my mechanic told me that now he will go with Havoline Formula 10W-40 a little thick then current)

10w40 is good for vitz too. Hopefully oil reduction will be less as compared to before.

Use 0W20 or 5W30 ,,,, Your car is good, the engine 1KRF is crab, which has manufacturing fault, the oil expand'er ring, which job is to keep the oil pushed back in chamber gets hard and does not do its job, and the holes in piston are not made good/smart enough to recirculate the oil. so you will get a oil depletion of 200-400 ml every 1000 km.

You can continue driving, it won't hurt for many miles except oil depletion, well no one is willing to understand and change the expand'er ring, with right tools and reasonable price, hope you get the idea, you will be told to get engine overhauled, which is not the case.

Based on my experience in my circle and different vehicle observed practically, agree with you 1KRF is a crab engine, it develop oil depletion after 65K either used on 0w20, 5W30 or 10W40.

The main culprit is oil expand'er ring and the hole design in piston, both blunder and gets hard or blocked. do have any observation and experience, where changing oil expand'er ring does eliminates this.

I have taken up with Toyota Japan and they accept and recommend the same for the oil depletion reason, either change the oil expand'er rings or continue driving topping up the oil

Itdepends on the bore detoriation if the detoriation is low then you can.replace.the expanders but had to suffer from power loss too.
SO it depends on how.much bore is detoriated .

Engine flush is not recommended, don't use any oil additive, they are not genuine in PAK, use Castrol Magnatec 5W30 or Volvoline 5W30

This is not unique to 1kr, on such engines with small oil drain holes on the oil rings you are to use a high detergency high temp low flash oil, this keeps the ring stack clean.

You also need to make sure the pcv is in top working order to prevent sludging of the oil.

Yes indeed true that's why 0w20 is recommended for these engines but member's here don't accept it and keep on pouring garhaaa teiiillll and destroy their engines.

Thanks for your valuable comments. Unfortunately i flush the engine last night with STP ENGINE FLUSH 450 ML and also changed engine oil CALTEX HAVOLINE 10W-40 SL EXTRA along with AIR & OIL FILTER (TOYOTA). As it was recommendations for not flushing the engine i am very much disappointed that why i did not review your comments earlier. Although It was recommended to me by different mechanics that your vitz engine is not clean and it should be flush before changing oil next time.

Based on your experience what you think or what will be the out come now.?
Dear RAJAATTA i am hopeful that issue will be resolve now but i face oil reducing problem again i will visit your workshop.. I checked this morning engine is in throwing water condition. although i feel some noise after changing the oil......

I have more than 06 vehicles in my circle, two are used on 5W30 and 04 are used on 10W40 since from 18K or plus of Total millage at import, All of them have same issue "engine oil depletion" 200-400 ml every 1,000 km, the event start to incur at exact 65K mileage, one of the vehicle is almost 180K is still going on 10W40, no power decrease, no blue smoke, going good so far.

Atta Bahi and Zulfaqr Bahi may add furhter.

No issue if you done flush, go on with 10W40 for up to 3,000 KM and then switch back to 5W30
