Salam guys. I am planning on buying a used Toyota Vitz 2013 model. The vehicle has a 5 grade auction sheet verified through pakwheels. However, during the test drive I conducted, I noticed some weird sound coming from the AC vents. It was raining at the time and it felt like the sound of tires going over water puddles. I am going to conduct an inspection of the vehicle through pakwheels as the check engine light was also on. Any advice on what the sound actually is? Has anyone else encountered this issue in this car? This will be my first time purchasing a Vitz in Pakistan.

AoA guys. I have recently purchased a vitz 2009 1.0 car. Today while driving, suddenly break became free and pedal started to go all the way into the floor when it was pressed along with a burning smell. I had to pump the break multiple time to stop the car. This kept on for 2,3 Kms and then suddenly the break became normal again and that burning smell vanished.
During this same time, the car started to vibrate a lot when on a full stop on D mode and break was pressed fully. After the break became normal, the vibrations also stopped.

Can anyone guide me what might be the issue? I am worried that the break might stop working and result in any unforeseen incident

W.S. I am not an expert, but I think the brake system, especially the master cylinder of your car is failing.

Have the issue sorted out and resolved ASAP, and until / unless it gets rectified, try not to drive your car. GOD Forbid, you car can be a death trap.

Ac vents shouldn't have a noticeably weird sound. Just the wind it's throwing at you.

Check engine light is a major red flag.

Auction grade is excellent, but, that doesn't say how badly the car was abused within Pak. Looks like it might have run into issues.

Do a thorough inspection including electronics and full scan before purchasing.

Don't drive it again.. or very slowly when going to a reliable mechanic.
Maybe to a Toyota 3s and tell them this story, have them check the complete brake system including cylinder, pads, rotors, brake fluid.

Something is definitely wrong and it needs a fix.
