Today I bring my car for smoke test. Car oil was at optimum temperature as almost drive around 15km and removing oxygen sensor I push accelerator manually as 2012 model didn’t come with RPM option so haven’t seen any smoke coming out from point. About 30sec to 1 minute I keep rpm in one still point. So all I want to confirm is it ok for check up.

For proper smoke test keep rpm at 2500 for 2 mins. If no smoke, then after those 2mins, push the rpm higher and higher. Also do sudden rpm bursts like desi mechanics love to do. If still no smoke then all is well. install sensor back, get a scan tool and monitor short term fuel trim for large variations in high rpms.

Yes front and back speakers have same mounting location and tabs etc.
Front speakers will be bolt on fit to rear

Don't put your faith in the Auction Sheet, that too, for a car that has been driven already in Pakistan for some time. Assess the vehicles physical condition first. I'd strongly suggest PakWheels Inspection:

Then suppose to pay 300 for another time as when done with smoke test and installing oxygen sensor engine check light get on for that he plug in scanner and eliminate error.

Is it neccesary to check it by removing the oxygen sensor? i checked it from the exhaust when i was purchasing my vitz

Yes checking through oxygen sensor is nessaccary as it bypasses the catalytic converter

This is infact the correct method as if oil reaches the cat converter it will be treated as unburnt fuel and the cat will overheat badly and you wont see it on the tailpipe.

I beleive its almost necessary on a weak and small engine like 1KR-FE as it doesnt have much exhaust flowing out anyway.

Basically at my time the mechanic doesn’t plug in oxygen sensor clip back and might be due to car create error. Meanwhile I have viewed it in a well manner and car didn’t omit any smoke even in same Rpm seems engine health is good. One thing very weird that I suppose to put foot on accelerate little bit just to not have little vibration feel in a car cabin rest engine behaving so far good. Almost drive 700km after replacing head assembly

Dear when. I bought my vitz 2012 a year back I didn’t know about smoke test
However when I poured 5w30 it reduced oil a mechanic told me to put 10w40 and now it’s fine
Mechanic also said k Japanese cars reduce oil its normal
Should I be worried ?

Any weak engine would either reduce oil or have power issues am i right?

All 1kr users should know 1 fact how do you know about the fact of proper engine power if he is driving the engine in detoriated condition.
Detoriated engine comparison with an healthy engine can only be diffrentiated if the user had driven an healthy engine.

So a detoriated engine always has some lags in its performance. In some cases the CVT transmission always boost up the performance in detoriated engine cases.

Raja bhai my car with 1krfe is reducing 1 litre oil after 5000km. On performance side it is ma sha Allah very good. It climbs moutains and where newer sedan struggles it climbs like a breeze ma sha Allah. Similarly it acheive 120kph without any effort or hassle. If one is not noticing speedometer it reaches 140 comfortably. Please tell me if the engine is ok or not. There is no smoke etc from exhaust. Only issue is oil reduction as mentioned in first line.

Sounds like most 1kr fes.

Run it till it dies. Which it won't that easily..you'll get bored of the car n sell it long before the engine really gives up.. again like I said not easily. Hundreds of thousands of km.

Some mechanics want engine to be replaced or rebuilt at any oil consumption.. but my personal opinion is if the car performance is fine, climbs fine, cruises fine on highways...and you're maintaining it properly too..run it till it dies.

Check the smoke test video and perform it on your vehicle and share the results if the smoke is present the bore is detoriated and if there is no smoke and still engine consumes engine oil then you should get it diagnosed either it is the engine lubricant problem or something else

I finalise not to sale my original head assembly as I suppose to pay only 5000. So I consider it’s good to keep it with me as I know my engine was perfectly fine before pouring 0w20 without knowing car was feeding with 10w40. So I keep original assembly just in case if the just install one show some performance issue in future then I will definitely go for overhaul.
