Reading your comments and reviews about Vitz, I decided to give it a try myself, wanted a small car that can accommodate 4 people, phir learned the safety features of Vitz, tu sooanch Pakistan ke dosri awami car - 2nd after our beloved Mehroo - ley kar dekhayain … aab dekhain yeh experience kaisa jata hai.
Initial reaction… “not bad”, I was worried about the cabin size… but now after using it for a few days I feel that cabin has enough space for 4 adults, I was specially worried about the leg room on rear seats (because of fast growing up 2 teenage boys), it has enough space, no complaints from rear passengers yet Seats are good and comfortable.
The only things I still need to get used to or fix is the ‘bhaa’ sound of engine when you suddenly press the accelerator… is that the normal sound of 1KR-FE?

I feel sorry for you… And I can well imagine what you must be going through. I had the similar experience a few years back with a brand new GLi… luckily as it was locally produced vehicle I was able to get these… umm I could be wrong but over here (Punjab) they call it ‘palaay’. (Members please correct me if I am wrong)

But yes so far I am loving it, the size of vehicle is good for the urban traffic, has sharp turning radius, parking it is easier than the saloons… its nippy

By the way, it was just recently imported… as per auction sheet (checked and verified) its drive a little less than 34,000km… I am planning to use Havoline 0W20 with a change interval of about 6000-6500? Is that fine?
And I think I will get the CVT oil changed at 40,000km? Any comments or suggestions on this?

1. Bhaa sound at acceleration is normal. N obviously being 1.0 with heavy body it doesn't accelerate like 1.3 or above cars.

2. No need to even touch CVT. If it's working fine, do not let any local mechanic touch it. Change oil only after 100,000km if REALLY NEEDED and by a professional who can get it done as per original toyota method, not like in Pakistan where they open cvt chamber, etc. And mechanics even toyota showrooms guess oil level, don't calibrate, don't do proper leveling of oil.

3. Yes havoline 0w20 is perfect. If you can't find it may use Shell as well. Drain interval seems fine, you can go to 8,000km too if you want with a genuine oil filter.

Umm I should not change transmission oil even at 80,000km 🥶
Jee I has used the original oil filter, yes the oil walla had also suggested that I should follow 8,000km oil change interval.

Sure for your peace of mind, do it at 80k km. But only from a qualified professional who knows the OEM way.
Opening chamber isn't the right way.

Local Toyota showrooms also do it the wrong way.

i got in a minor accident today and my side mirrors “sheesha” fell off. the rest of the side mirror is scratch-less and unmarked. is the sheesha of vitz 2018 onwards available in market. just the sheesha and where can i get it from in lagore. a quick response would be appreciated. thank you.

Any good JDM mechanic in Karachi? especially who can handle Vitz 1KR-FE engine, I am facing light smoke on acceleration and oil reduction issues in my Vitz. Using 5w20 Toyota Geniune Engine Oil

Facing the same issue, you need to increase the oil grade, in my case i used the 10w40 so the oil reduction was not stops but decreased.

How much oil reduction? What is oil change interval? Which brand oil do you use?

I am using Toyota 5w30 and oil interval change is 3000 km, my car is driven up to around 2500 km and the dipstick is showing half.
