Yes definitely good to go, even fuel economy would be decent. But the fun factor was missing, if you know what I am trying to say.

I drove the CVT in manual model aswell. It just didnt had the kick.

1.3 manual was pretty smooth, drove it just to get an idea. Didnt speed her up though

Where did I say 1.3 was more responsive then the 1.5. Yes the MT to CVT difference would remain.

Saying the 1.3 MT was smooth didnt mean it was better then the 1.5L. Just to add both the cars have merely 6 hp difference dont expect the 1.5L to do wonders.

I mentioned earlier they didnt have a 1.3 CVT for test drive. Yes I agree manual is outdated.

Yes the build quality is definitely decent. Par with the one I drove in Dubai.

Since most UAE cars are from America and Yaris Asian isnt available in America it's most probably of asian origin. So the build quality was decent.

I realized non of the variants have a rear centre arm rest. Such small features make you realize the Corolla Gli was a very good package to offer Corolla to the masses.

Nothing matches build quality of cars manufactured for japanese domestic market and use.

This is a economy sector car. Just like a Rav4 is positioned above Toyota Fortuner.

My bad I took kW figures, still 8hp. Then its definitely the CVT lag which kills the initial wow factor.

Torque is power to pull, not power to outrun. Ever seen torque figures on a tractor?

I have been driving a CVT since 2008 in a city and then in a Vitz, and then a Corolla.

The CVT takes it's time, no matter how hard you push it, unlike manual and AT cars.

PS : all variants have CVT and MT which are similar.

Bottom line, yes the Ativ 1.5L is a better feature packed car. But for 3 million you look for an upgrade, rather an upper class car

Previous generation engine with fuel efficiency less than 10 kmpl yaris is leaps ahead fuel efficient..
No Hill Start Assist
No Traction control
No VSA

Meri baat ki jaye to I would prefer an Ativ X over Altis 1.6 11th generation. Case will be different with 12th gen

Mei shuru se bolra hun features dont matter. Corolla is a better car agaist Yaris and you are bragging about climate control and push start. Those are fancy toys nothing beyond that. What will you do of the push start if you dont enjoy driving your fancy push start.

If you start buying car with better features then an Alto has more features then a Corolla, how is it a better car.

The 2003/2004 to 2008 Honda city so called choha shape came with a CVT transmission know as Vario.

Further the 1500cc came with steermatec cvt transmission too.

For the aucustic glass go check the car. I just drove one today inspected every inch of it.

Indus motors has already been offering a different windscreen in top of the line Corolla ever since. So changing the yaris 1500 windscreen is no big deal

The entire generation came with a vario cvt, transmission , steermatec was an extension to it.

Sirf japan assembled Lunda cars have this because they are mostly accidental cars dumped here after being rendered useless elsewhere... we buy them and proudly satisfy ourselves thinking kay meri gari imported hay.

Those lunda scrap cars comes with UV cut mirrors not aucustic mirrors bhatije, go fact check then brag around. The yellow green tint is UV reflector coating
