There is nothing special, that is exactly what i am saying. It is just another sedan... slightly bigger than yaris, slightly smaller than civic, much smaller than mark x, premio and camry.

People here are comparing Corolla with poor Yaris... atleat keep a reasonable benchmark.

Yaris can be compared to City or Ciaz etc.

Corolla can be compared with similar sized cars like Civic etc...

Still today if Indus motors plans to offer a 1600 GLI Corolla with GLi like options its going to be a great hit keeping the price competitive.

Altis 1.6 is infact Gli 1.6... Alloy rims and better audio player....

engine does not make a car different , both have absolutely same shape so they are corolla afterall. If i put engine of ferrari in a mehran will it make mehran a ferrari lol . Now please dont tell me feature like a sales person

People reviewing should not make this blunder, comparing Yaris with a Corolla.

That's a different league car people.. Civic vs Corolla both bigger cars.

Yaris's competition is Honda City which is more cramped as compared to new Yaris and obviously generations behind.

So, compare with that.

Yes i agree with you the other variants touching 2950 make you wonder and you want to put in more money and upgrade.

And you know what it is being sold on a huge own, 3 lackhs 30 thousand for ativ x, 2 lack 50 thousand for ativ even yaris gli 2 lacksh 80 thousand own per bik rahi hay....

I am talking about a base grade car.

Wheel caps, no fancy audio player, no alloy rims, no optiron meter, no side skirts.

1600 altis was selling rs.255k higher then a 1300 Gli AT. Where as when Gli AT 1600 was being sold against Gli manual 1300 it was priced at 125k extra 75k for transfer and 50k for engine. ( similarly with honda city 1500 cc standard sells for 50k higher then the 1300cc variant.)

So if indus motors could work out a similar car as to Gli 1300cc with only an engine upgrade. That would be a killer. The added 255k can come down to 100k only or maybe even less.

Yes, City would be better in drive as compared to Yaris. But City handling/road grip is also pathetic at high speed. Plus, it’s one of the most pathetic car in our market in terms of comfort and suspension. And Yaris is way ahead in this department. Yaris have many other plus points aswell in comparison of City. Yaris is a small corolla for our market.

I guess you don’t even know what’s the handling of any car.

Regarding Yaris drive, i already said, yes it will be not as good as City but still Yaris has much better comfort level than City which has the most pathetic comfort level.
