This is what i am confused about, if i take pakwheels inspection team with me. I think after inspection they will take minimum 3-4 days to complete the auction sheet and i will know if the car is good to go or are there any problems, so idk the showroom guys will allow this that i inspect the car and take delivery after 4-5 days. So i am confused.
Plus i have absolutely zero knowledge of checking the paint of any car.
And honestly it is not only that i want some one to check the exterior only. I want to get it check thoroughly before taking the car. Like lights, indicators, ac etc etc... Cuz once you take the car out of showroom they don't take the responsibility for anything

Take 1-2 persons of family or driver or friends who have some understanding of cars.

Spend at least 01 hour with it in morning.

You shouldn't be paranoid about it. General inspection would suffice it.

Checking lights, indicators is no problem. Start the car and turn on all the lights.. Check the ac cooling, joints etc. Check if there are scratches or any re paint. Take someone with you for this purpose...DON'T ACCEPT THE CAR IF YOU FIND ANY PROBLEM. They won't take responsibility afterwards. Jab tak aap satisfied nahin hai gari se, DON'T ACCEPT THE DELIVERY

One important thing is that don't mention it to the dealship that you know nothing about cars, nahi bhi deni hogi tou faulty car dey dein gay

Second, it is a one in a million chance that you get a damaged car, relax, just buy it with open eyes, look for scratches etc.

Tell them that you will be coming for car inspection with your mechanic, so ask them to confirm the time and date.

This will be enough pressure on them to ensure that it is checked on their part.

If it has been said already countless times, I apologize, but my god what a terrible looking thing this is, now that I've seen it in the flesh. Like a bar of soap or banana. Looks exactly like a product for the third-world, but even worse somehow. People talk crap about the Nissan Versa and Mitsubishi Mirage, but this takes cheap design to a whole new level.

I was comparing the dimensions with the Honda City. They're almost exactly the same, but this looks much taller and narrower, like it's riding on spacers. If I had to choose between this and the City, I'd still take this in a heartbeat, but even the 12-year-old design of the City looks better.

Some of my styling related observations:

• Wheels are tiny, make the car look like a shopping trolley
• Giant wheel wells
• Too much metal between the windows and the wheel arches
• Blobby, gelatinous styling which translates very poorly on a car this size. Needs fewer curves
• Much narrower looking than other sedans on the road
• Front looks like a wrinkly old-woman-face pulled back with a pair of clothespins
• Car does not look any better in the highest trim level. Looks especially cheap however in the base trim
• Chrome on the door handles is quite jagged and reflects unevenly
• The lower lights on the bumper, which are supposed to be reflectors but are clear for some reason, look aftermarket
• Could have at least stuck with LEDs for the HMSL
• One element I like, although also pretty haphazard, is the DRL

Wonder what made you post a long essay... You could have simply written in two lines:

"I don't like the design of Yaris, i love my old features less City."

People brag about City as if others have not seen it... suzuki carry and honda city are perhaps the only two cars left without airbags and taweez immobiliser... (infact carry has a better looking immobiliser), even alto has a proper immobiliser key and airbags...

When theres nothing left to say, just tell others that yaris looks small, while infact Yaris is considerably bigger than city, it has a modren design, sleek and stylish, which is ideal for urban driving with congested traffic . Yaris has a very quite and comfortable cabin, perfect suspension and fuel economy.

1. I don't own a City anymore. I did but didn't particularly like it.

2. In the second paragraph, I clearly mentioned that I would still buy this over the City given the choice, but not based solely on design.

3. I specifically dedicated my post to the styling of the car, so that's what I'm going to talk about instead of just mentioning how "I don't like the design of Yaris...". I wanted to deconstruct the design a bit more than what you find on PakWheels' lazily written blogs on how "the back, it is giving good look".

Reading comprehension is your friend.

Though, I have booked an Altis 1.6 recently and I like this car over Yaris 1.5, but honestly telling (personal view), Yaris is a good car as compared to city 5th generation. Rear shape is more stylish. Front shape is not as "awkward" as many friends are describing.
It will take some time to accept this front shape in our minds. Then, every thing will be fine.

Hello All. I have booked Yaris ATIV MT 1.3 due to budget constraints but now people have bashed me so much that buying manual is stupid. Do we have Yaris manual owners here??? as per indian reviews of manual yaris, the clutch play travel is very less and stick has short throws so not that tiresome but it will be in heavy traffic. CVT owners, is YARIS 1.3 CVT underpowered, does it give enough power to overtake on single way roads with confidence?

Can i change me booking to CVT now?? what are your recommendations, is there any policy of Indus motors for making ammendments in booking. I booked in start of October and delivery is December.

1.3 CVT is all the way best... U wouldn't regret. It easily overtakes whenever u press the pedal anywhere u are....
If budget constraint, go for 1.3 gli Cvt

Go to Auto.. because Manual ab log keem he use ker rehe due to traffic problems... ma ne honda city Manual le the 2018 ma... sale kerne ke leye bht mehnet kerna pere... her benda auto ke demand kerta ha... thora paise zada hain but at least drive ma sakoon mele ga... werna Cluch ... gare... race.... break... ma phens jayo gy...

Where exactly do you love mate? I'm asking this only because I haven't heard people talk bad about shape of Nissan Versa in Pakistan as it's too rare to be significant enough (I don't think I have ever seen one in Lahore). For bad looking cars, we have much better examples in Pakistan compared to Nissan Versa and Mitsubishi Mirage.

I've got the delivery of Ativ MT 1.3 on 23rd Sept & happy with it. I'm getting 16kmpl in local/Islamabad driving.

I've nothing against autos despite having a fairly recent issues with them (here & here). In fact, I've kept them and switched from one to Yaris Ativ MT. If you're driving only in city, auto is better but if there's anything more than that, MT is better in my opinion.

• Acceleration is better with MT (it's equivalent to 1.5 auto Yaris) & as per manual, MT's top speed is better than auto by 10 km/h.
• In bumper to bumper traffic, MT's mileage is better compared to auto. Also, if you need a burst of acceleration for just a few moments, MT's better. CVTi's lag is a real bummer in this case. That's purely my experience. On highway speeds, MT & AT has same mileage. Yaris's CVTi AT transmissions so this could be different - don't have enough experience with it yet.
• In heavy traffic, I keep on engaging the first gear and without using throttle, I generally release theclutch and car moves as needed. This makes it easy.
• In auto, you'll have reduced engine & transmission breaking - whereas in MT, you'll can utilize them, if needed. You'll notice that whenever you're driving fast where braking is an important factor.
• I don't have good experience with AT transmissions on hilly areas.
• The maintenance cost is higher with AT than MT.
• I used to change my break-pads every 75K-kms with MT. However with auto, you need to change them every 30K-kms. It's based on my driving habits.

Again, if I need to drive only within city, I'll certainly go for Auto-transmission due to convenience it brings. However, if there's anything more than that, MT is way to go. So I went with MT & happy with it.
