I have got 20.1 on highway on a trip of 210km on lahore-multan road

Wow how do you people manage to drive car like a donkey cart on highway to get this much good average?

Believe me i never got more than 14 on Corolla and City.

I got 14.5 from GLI auto while coming back to lahore from islamabad at speed of 120 and at speed of 100 i was getting around 18-19

I think yaris should give 16-17 at speed of 120. This is my rough guess, will check once i get my delivery in march

From this comment, I believe you haven’t travelled on lahore-multan road and think that you can cruise on 120km/h+ on that road.
That 210km trip of mine also included last 30km from Mohlanwal to home in more than one hour due to huge traffic. Otherwise the overall average must have been 21-22.
By the way, I daily travel on canal road and ferozpur road lahore from work to home at rush times for about 16.5km and get between 17-19km/l average

IMO motorway speed should be between 100km/h and 120km/h. Any speed less or more than this range is dangerous not only for the person driving but also for others.

If the mileage mentioned above is achieved using this speed range, then it's ok.

I have driven yaris very little on motorway but I believe it will easily give around 18km/l at 100-120km/h speed

Between 100-110kph on any car gives a really good economy. Going above 115kph generally takes a bigger toll on economy as compared to the increase in speed. I believe 18-19 on Yaris should be doable at 100kph, given that I have seen even a Grande doing around that much at that speed.

Nah. I have travelled on that Multan road and other roads as well where you could literally drive at 80 - 100 km/h but still never got more than 14km/h on both Corolla and Honda City.

I think you people need to fix your calculations. A chap above exaggerating to get 19 on GLI at 100km/h. This nation is known for making weird claims that are unacceptable.

By the way even my GLI meter never showed me more than 13.8 average/liter no matter how slow or fast I drive. And here I am hearing noises of 18 - 19. Just wow.

It's a cvt. Peak efficiency is achieved at that speed on the highway. It may very well over 16 or 17 km per litre.

I have never owned a GLI so I cant comment there. I own a Yaris and it has gone over 20 even in city many times, usually on canal road lahore.
I have also cross checked the computerized reading manually tank-to-tank and its almost the same. Overall I have been getting 13.5-14 in each full tank in city and about 500km is a good enough distance to measure these things when you get every type of traffic, be it signal free on canal or start/stop in complete rush

I have driven my civic X from Lahore to Islamabad at speeds not exceeding 100kmph (mostly 90-100) and it gave 18kmpl.
So its possible.

that is "instantaneous" speed. Not an "average".

When driving on straight road at low-medium speeds the meter can show that reading.

Average over 200+km within city will come down to what you stated, 13-14.

Bro I know what is instantaneous and what is average. All the figures I am talking about here are average from start to engine switch off, the figure that comes up on screen when you turn off engine.
