Thank you for your guidance sir. I was also reconsidering the plan and hence haven't booked anything with advance payment, reading about 28-30% positivity makes it very scary and not worth it.

In my experience the dealership people at times are highly uninformed. In this case it may be that since they still haven't received your invoice in hard copy so they think its not invoiced. When I asked my dealership guy about the status on my car he said I will tell you when the car is about to arrive, I told him I will also get a message from Toyota when its dispatched and/or invoiced and he didn't even know about the fact that toyota sends an SMS when you are invoiced and about tentative delivery times. There was another salesman who didn't know you can check the months against dealership on IMC website. I feel they are still living in non digital times.

No need to worry. Toyota Clifton Motors is saying the same. They say lots of cars have come but not the Invoices (hard copy I guess).

Mine is Toyota Clifton Karachi. They said the same thing that invoices are pending. Dealership said today some invoices have come and he will inform me if mine is in those invoices. I actually want it to be late to take car delivery after Eid as I will not be in Karachi for Eid.

They say they already have 50+ cars delivered without invoices (hard copy)

Is delivery time of Ativ x more than the normal Ativ variant? I have been given delivery time of September in Islamabad if I book Ativ X and August if its normal Ativ.

Yeh terminologies ko bhool jain. These are run around techniques for dealerships and factory.
Assigning a car a invoice number happens way before printing it. Yeh andar ki games hoti hai lambi discussion hai kiun hota hai kaisay hota hai.

Just be patient k thora delay hai hopefully with a refund

It varies with color as well.

I think Ativ has a greater demand than Ativ X (not sure though) hence probably more ready stock available for Ativ in factory.

Alhamdulillah booked Ativ X today from Toyota Capital with tentative delivery of August. Toyota Rawal was giving me September timeframe for it as well as Toyota Islamabad.

Fingers crossed now.

Pretty fine, only thing I noticed or wanted to be improved the gear ratio difference between 1st and 2nd gear.
2nd gear ratio little bit too low. When you put in 2nd gear it seems it lose power immediately.

So yesterday was the first day, I got to drive my ATIV X on MOTORWAY and then some on a rough village road full of potholes and muddy track due to rain. I was truly impressed. I enjoyed ATIV X's drive more than the GLi CVT I test drove before making my purchase decision. This is what a sedan should feel like.

My car is only 800km drive so I didn't floor it on the motorway but even at 100kph it was so smooth. With AC turned on and some music I could easily talk to the person sitting behind. Noise insulation is excellent. Suspension response on rough road is excellent. Comfort is excellent. At 80/90 I had to literally look at the speedometer again and again - it was so smooth and calm.

Extremely glad for switching to Yaris from 5th Gen City

All these small Sedans should be fine till 120-140 atleast...

However I wouldn't advise violating speed limits...

Handling also varies a lot depending on road conditions, environmental factors, tyre pressures, tyre condition & width, alignment, wheel balancing, cross winds etc...
