Tricky situation now...as Govt. of Sindh has imposed a partial lock-down from Monday (26th July 2021) due to serious surge in COVID cases.
Only 50% staff will be allowed as per announcement. If they enforce it rigorously which is quite likely - hospital beds are almost full in KHI; there is a fear that a Dehli like situation may develop due to high prevalence of delta variant - Govt may even impose a full look-down if the positivity rate stays above 20% or increases further post eid.
If we look at the trends; its very likely that a complete lock-down will be imposed in KHI at least Travel in & out of KHI may also be restricted to prevent spread of delta variant. These suggestions have been tabled but will only be enforced if Partial lock-down fails.
Because of this unfortunate development; Toyota Indus will have 50% staff strength starting Monday; this will seriously affect the production lines & is very likely to result in delayed deliveries.
