Lets see when we get connected cars here, India has them. They also get software updates without connecting any device or visiting the dealership. Other convenience features such as turning on lights or horn if you cannot find the car in parking are also present in many cases.

Turn the steering wheel slightly to the left after switching off the car and it will lock itself. If it doesn't, get it checked from the dealership.

Very irresponsible behavior and against NIH guidelines as well as international guidelines; Sadly we don't practice EBM. You cannot assume that a certain set of symptoms is COVID; no one can; regardless of expertise or experience unless proven by RT-PCR.

100% agreed but its not that easy ..if we start working on this today it will take atleast a decade to develop technical capacity/train manpower to make that happen.

Chinese vaccines are quite effective ... a lot of data published by third party countries have confirmed the same. Late approvals have nothing to do with vaccine efficacy ... its Geo-politics dear.

No private company brought vaccines except small batches because they didn't agree with the price set by the govt

Bad idea ... and Govt did the right thing .. making money out of peoples misery should never be allowed...and there is no shortage of vaccines ... there is still low acceptance thats why Govt is mulling over SIM blockage ; salary restrictions etc.

Tried it doesn't work...BUT

If I turn off the car and then lock it either using the fob or the key-less entry button and then reopen the car using either the fob or key-less entry - the steering is locked regardless of the position it was in when I leave the car.

So it seems that at-least in my car the steering lock is linked to central locking and not the push start button. Additionally even if I walk away without locking the car; the car locks itself after a minute if the fob key isn't left inside and the steering gets auto-locked too. If I leave the fob key inside - its doesn't get auto-locked.

I don't know if its a fault or a deliberate/intended behavior ... seems more like a software thing otherwise the steering should never get locked if its a mechanical fault.

The steering get locked once you turn off the engine and open the driver door.

Opening the door first is the relevant part. If you turn off the engine and move the steering then open the door it wont lock. You will have to close the door and open it again and then steering lock.

In normal routine people turn the engine off and open the door and steering can lock now.

Interesting, for me, my car steering locks as soon as I stop the engine. it doesn't matter if i have opened the door or not. @kmq007 I would suggest to get it inspected.

Will do... But as per Toyota's own video that I posted above it seems to be the default behavior.

My car is almost brand new ... 700km driven ... may be they have updated the software programming of ECU ... as my Car's response is 100% as per Toyota's video...

Considering the lackluster reveal of city, I believe it will pave way for aftermarket parts for Yaris including facelift bumpers, eyebrow drls etc. Fingers crossed.

Yes, even though some people have facelifted their Yasir already, looked better than before along with adding these features after-market such as Cruise, and Retractable mirrors, Yasir seems like a better value for money than City. Even though I myself am a Honda fan but they've screwed up big time now. Glad that I didn't wait for this car and bought a replacement already.

A person in Islamabad facelifted their Yaris i.e swapped LED headlights with the new facelift front bumper into the car, Ive posted the picture already here in this thread.

Techstream showed no errors or error on communication not ok was white not yellow meaning no issues
But i did all the wiring it didnt work.

Either the techstream showed wrong info or my cruise stick is faulty. Have not been able to test my cruise stick on any other toyota which has cruise confirmed.

Talked with autokings they said that cruise can't be installed in mt variant
