Aoa Guys -

I got yaris gli cvt a few days ago and got a couple of questions. There's a constant 'eco' light on the meter which goes away when you hard press the throttle. Is there any way to turn it off permanently? The fuel avg i am getting is 9km/l within bahria town inspite of being this eco light on and i feel the initial pick is compromised.

Secondly, can someone suggest a good reliable person in Lahore from where I can install the cruise control? And most importantly, is it safe? And how much does it cost with installation?

There is indeed an option to turn off the Eco function (this light) in the 1.5 version. Please check the manual if theres a mention of the same for 1.3 gli.

I wanted to install the cruise control as well. Heard its just plug n play. Went to two dealerships. The ones who were honest, said if anything happens to the car and Indus finds out they will not furnish the claim for warranty. The other dealership said, sir please have this cruise control installed along with the trumpet horn. No warranty would be void.

Unless you have alot of motorway travel then i would advise u against it.

I have Ativ X and I changed my first oil after 5000km from outside (I didn't get good reviews of the toyota OEM oil from most people). Many people praise Liquimoly Molygen 5w30 but its not widely available so I was a little skeptical and hence I got Total 9000 5w30. The performance increased after the oil change. I was getting about 14 in lahore city before oil change and since then I am getting 15-16 with AC. My car is now at 9600KM.

Bro there is no way to turn off the eco mode in lower variants than Ativ X. Eco mode is usually ON till 2k rpm. Your fuel economy will increase with time as you get used to the car and as the car runs a little more.
As for the initial pick, its due to CVT. You will always feel a CVT a little sluggish at low speeds.

Ok now im getting considerably lower mileage. Just came back from another drive on the same route which used to give me an average of 15 to 16 each trip. Now its giving me 12 to 13.

My home to office and office to home trips usually give me 19-20 avg. Its the other daily routine drives that bring my overall avg around 15-16

Anyone who knows Lahore areas can understand this better:
I go to office from Chauburji to Thokar.
There are three alternate paths:-
1- Ferozepur road+canal road: gives me around 19-20 easily even at full rush hours.
2 Multan Road and 3 Band Road plus Motorway patch: both of these give me around 18-19, even in high rush times I cant remeber getting less than 16/17
