I am getting very low mileage ... only around 12-13 on motorway and around 7-8 within city.. in ECO Mode... with average speed of around 13 km/hr within city as per MID..the car is only driven 750km till now though.

I have been researching about tyres and it seems the most common and recommended change is to 185/65/R15. The cost of change to a good tyre like Yokohama Advan Db will be around 25-26K (after accounting for selling stock tyres).

Now the question is if the advantages of changing tyres on new vehicle (better comfort, less noise, better road grip etc.) enough to justify the costs (25-26K investment & voiding of suspension warranty)? What do you all advise?

I think your avg speed is very low... It would due to stop and go scenario. Try to check on moderately congested road.

Can any one share his\her experience about yaris (Ativ X 1.5 cvt) performance on hilly areas including babuser top etc.? Was it upto the mark? Satisfied?

I recently traveled to naran side. Babusar top was not accessible due to land sliding so we returned from Jalkhad
My vehicle is ativ X cvt. We were three adults of average weight of 80 kg and 3 kids of 35, 25 and 15 kg. Trunk was also fully loaded. In short, car was maximally loaded and we usually forget this variable while calculating milage.
I reset trip button on MID at start of journey and following are stats.
It was 1322 km trip. Average milage was 14.3 km/litre. at average speed of 45 km per hour. With petrol price 120' total expense should be 11k rupees. And it was around this figure. Total driving time was 30 hours. Further I noted that milage on motorway was 15 km and on hilly areas uphill, it was 11 km and downhill 13.5 km per hour. AC on 75% time approximately.
I kept speed on motor way around 120 km /hr. Though I tested once to reach 140. Car was stable and no excessive tyre noise.
I didn't see much difference in sports mode from normal mode. I always prefer normal mode as my driving style always gives me best economy. Eco mode is sometimes irritating particularly while overtaking.
In hilly areas I first tried sports mode but it didn't work. Then I switched to manual. And I have learnt that manual mode should be used. It can not only help you in ascent but also in descent when you want to avoid excessive braking.
I have seen too many Yaris there. No problem in ascent. You can move uphill even from dead stop with that much load which I have mentioned.
It's floor did hit the ground on few occasions but you could avoid it with careful driving. Due to dam construction near kaghan road is not good enough as it was few years ago.
On few occasions I found vibration on pressing brake pedal while going through loose gravels I don't know what was that. Abs or tc in action... There was no indication on MID.
In short, one should expect normal cvt lag, otherwise car has power to ascend with zero momentum. Car is comfortable and driving is not tiring.

Actually I travelled recently to hunza on my Yaris Ativ X 1.5cvt. I used normal mode from Islamabad to Mansehra on motorway on a speed of 100 to 120. It was fine. After Mansehra I switched to Manual mode throughout till Gilgit and hunza. 3 adults along with around 80 to 85kg of language. Initially it was fine but near babuser top pick was not good enough and could not exceeds from 6 to 7 km on way towards gilgit. Is this performance is upto the mark?
Pick was also worst near babuser top on my return to islamabad.

Well 6 to 7km what? You could attain max speed of 7km?
If it's fuel average then seems ok. As it's steep.

Please provide more details... 1.5 CVT shouldn't be that sluggish/under powered

Even my previous ride (Wagon R) easily negotiated that.

6 to 7 km/hr was speed near babuser top while going towards gilgit and more worst near top while backbyo Islamabad. I travelled on my Cultus 2016(old version) , performance of that was much better

Wow dude that sounds sluggish for a 1.5.

Were you driving it in S / L mode or normal D with eco?

That's unbelievable.... it may be due to poor quality fuel... or some tuning issue with the car...
