I got my Toyota rush fuel pump changed last month. In Bahrain. They called for service campaign. Toyota has had global fuel pump recall

The fuel pump issue is real. I faced it in the very starting when i got this car and brought it in this thread as well.....didnt face the issue again.
Taglon 5w50 if u want good mileage. 5w30 if u want noiseless engine.
Get oil changed at 5000.

Has anyone gotten their fuel pump replaced under warranty? What's the issue in the fuel pump? If there isn't then why they were testing the acceleration response and mileage data?

Current Yaris owners can better comment but maybe that's the root cause of hill climb issue and underpowered response in northern areas.

Apparently this chip or of the same nature is used in all CVT cars. Other manufacturers are also affected from this shortage from what I heard. Which dealership are you getting it from though?

The dealership is so bloody manipulative they even wanted to do a tuning and plug change at 1000 km inspection ...baiting me with the claim kay Sir apki fuel average city main 18 aur highway pay 20 ho jaye ki ...

I gave them a real bashing & told them that do I look like an idiot to you?

Just check the level man...sadly many lay people will fall for honey trap of better fuel average...

Luckily, My car was delivered on time... just before eid. Deliveries done after 15th June started getting delayed... and now the period is increasing as per many users here.

Never ever go for a super thick oil like 5w50.

It's an engine killer. It's not used anywhere in the world on any modern engine. Only local ustaads in Pakistan still use it because it's a practice from the 80s and 90s.

0w20 is the ideal oil grade for your car. At max, go till 5w30 that is also absolutely fine.

Not even one digit thicker than 5w30. Don't ruin your new car n its engine.

As per my dealership they receive the cars in last 2 days of every month (if the balance payment reaches Indus before 20th of the said month and deliveries are made in first 10 days as soon as the invoices are received.

Website status changes to invoiced about a week before the expected delivery date.

All orders where balance payment is made after 20th or the equivalent last working day if 20th falls on a weekend are rolled over to next months quota as per my dealership.

So if this isn't bull crap by the dealership... if your complete payment was made before 20th July .. your car should get delivered within August.

I have heard that in Fasialabad, there is dire shortage and they aren't even taking bookings once their quota slots are filled to avoid angry customers.

My car was at the dealership for almost 2 1/2 weeks and the website still showed order in process...

I literally had to bash Toyota helpline to get the status changed to invoiced.

Why this happens... its any body's guess..most probably they use the window period to display the cars at the showroom as most display units (dealer quota) are sold on own money by the dealerships.

I accidently learnt that my car is already there...I went to the dealership to inspect the car, took pics of engine & chassis number and categorically told them that I will make random visits and if I see my car in the showroom I won't take delivery.

Most dealerships will never ever tell you that your car is there before the confirmation message from Indus.

I may be wrong but I think Indus is in on it to support own Mafia.
