Can you share the picture of the plastic bag and the diagram or instructions on it? and the picture of the rubber parts if they were in the bag? Rest of us can check if they are installed in our cars.. as the door pieces you shared are still on all of my doors

1.3 if you have city drive mostly with speeds of 20 or 30 with minimal people. 1.5 for long travels and if you have 4 5 people most of the times inside ur car in city drive.

No, they're to stop dust getting inside - they're like flaps, and allow water to drain out.

"The 3 plugs at bottom of door are made to drain water, as they do on mine. They're actually a one way valve , allowing water to flow out the bottom of the plugs... They can easily be removed to inspect and clean, then reinstalled"

Now this is confusing...

If they serve the intended purpose as you have mentioned then why the hell Toyota's Official Dealership removed these in front of me...and upon asking they said what I shared earlier.

It's good then that I collected all these as they threw these in the waste bin...

As for acting as a one way valve system to stop dust entry...I have serious doubt that they are of any use as their fitting is pathetic & so loose that they keep coming off on each car wash... lol

May be IMC saved money here too...

Well if there are any Corolla owners they can check if these are there or not? If yes, is their fitting as pathetic as Yaris?

One quick question... Just parked the car and noticed this.. Shall I take it out as it appears pretty loose?

Will be going to tyre shop shortly but not in a mood to change the tyre with spare wheel..

Instructions are printed on the containing plastic bag along with the area where they are supposed to be installed.

Can't take a pic of the under carriage right now... car is too dirty due to yesterday's rain and muddy roads...

You are correct, if they are serving any purpose then it shouldnt be so loose. I will check in my corolla but i never noticed them till now

That is way too close to the sidewall to be fixed safely, especially if the puncture is a complete one(it depends how long the nail is). I would personally replace the tyre.

Carefully removed the screw. Luckily it was a very small one. The tyre shop checked the tyre and said that everything is fine... no leaks, nothing...

Isn't changing the tyre too much... I mean at that rate I would be replacing tyres every few weeks or so as there is a lot of construction work going on both around my home as well as workplace..

From the picture it seems completely fine, only the rubber top part was pierced, the tire wala seems correct and the tire is fine

Older cars mein aisa hee hota tha it was removed BUT maybe new ones in International market are dust covers that still allow water draining. I suspect Pak ones will not be able to drain water. May be we should keep them on and when we wash cars or during heavy rains we can remove them temporarily to drain water.

No it is not OEM, but the ECU supports so i got it installed from aftermarket (luckily i found an original stick which was removed from a Fresh JDM Toyota), its almost an year and it is working perfectly.

Hi in 1.5 ativ x there is eco mode selection in the MID as well as the eco button at the bottom of the steering right side
Are both these the same or does the MID eco ON mean car is in normal mode and then shows eco light in the rpm meter when we are driving economically

Yep, you guessed it right buddy the "Eco" indicator
lights up when you are driving in the eco range...

The Modes just alter the response with the car being snappiest in Sports Mode and crappiest in the Eco Mode

Just kidding... with the fuel prices going up.. I have started to love the Eco Mode as well as the Eco light ...
