Yaris is a complete clown next to the city, verna, and ciaz.

However, there's no competition here so it'll sell like hot cakes until Honda wakes up and launches the new city.

No doubt the latest City (international, not in PAK) if all features included looks like a better car (in looks).

But, we can't discuss tht. Atlas will not launch that City or not until at least 2-3 years. And price will be higher.

Looks like Yaris will go up to 35 lac after current increase in dollar rate.

Booking started on 19th March

And they stopped taking further bookings on 20th March !
However some dealerships were taking POs even on 24th March (tuesday) even after clear message from Indus that they have closed the plant till further notice and the official launch has been delayed now. I got a call from a dealership and the sales person asked are you bringing the Payorder today !! Hona kya tha Indus band hai PO wahan 15 din dhool chaat ta rehta ! Aur baad mein wo kehta IMC is not accepting this PO so kindly get it cancelled and bring a fresh PO (which is the policy of Indus as they only accept fresh POs)

has the booking started at a price and delivery schedule at every Toyota 3S shop across the country . champions predicting the price for all variants remember the exchange rate has spike multi-fold within this week

The units which are already assembled or if the imported parts for let's say 100 vehicle has been imported then why they should get more money for those units?

Ofcourse now will be a bloodbath for any carmaker anywhere in sales but in normal times Toyota sells about 10-12 thousand cars each month in india which is more than double what they sell in Indonesia or Thailand for example. Toyota in india was set up not to compete with Suzuki. Tell me, how else can Suzuki survive?.Also, Toyota has bought up share in Suzuki. , let;s see where that leads.

re" Altis in south asia i came to know from a very reliable source on checking out the asian version of new altis in dubai last year that Yaris is the new altis for south asia. The new model doesn't command the premium that Toyota will charge and is also too low slung for our roads.My 1 bit of info for this thread.

To explode the bubble, toyota is actually reconsidering ending the Corolla name plate.

Similarly like Corona was made Premio, And Starlet was made Vitz and later Yaris.

Could be a possibility. But probably from next generation. Yaris the dollar hike might hit on Corolla sales in Pakistan from this year or the next generation Corolla.

Pakistan Is the highest seller for Corolla in the south east Asian region. Probably because the 1300cc was still sold here. Let's see what future brings for Corolla sales here.

Corolla has already been discontinued in Japan as JDM or GEM. New name is Axio since 2013

Not discontinued yet, letting go the Corolla name plate has been on Toyotas cards for awhile. it still goes by the name Corolla Axio and Corolla Altis axio for japan only.

They are trying to replace it with something better first. But Corolla is a legacy they won't just let go.

The Toyota Raize has taken Corollas sales figures. Now Toyota plans to bring in a new Yaris based CUV Crossover which is being planned against or below Corolla and CHR too. Let's see how does it goes too
