I am talking about KSA. You didnt even mention how well Accent, Rio, Picaanto and i10 etc. have been selling. Based on numbers Sonata, Optima do sell but less because of the doubled fuel costs. Raised height could definitely look off but proportions are different for all cars, its design. An this proper sedan thing again very subjective, you just skipped the Yaris level Sedans and said the rest was proper, in the US or Middle East anything below Camry segment is a compromise on being proper. And I didnt get the Mehran reference.

Every manufacturer here raises the cars a little to meet the requirements but indus goes crazy and raises the car even more which is already raised hence why these cars have poor road grip and stability, toyota did the same at the launch of corolla.

The looks are same everywhere the car is launched. The sedans that you mentioned compete with higher class sedans not yaris.

Theres a simple reason for that. Toyotas sell a lot in rural areas and smaller cities so that is a necessity, Hondas are very rare over there. Maybe the solution would be to keep the Grande and top of the line YAris lower.

Inflation is killing our industry but people here are claiming Yaris to be better then corolla and civic and that is worrysome.

I am not sure if anyone of you have actually scene local Yaris but I did see at Toyota GT and rest assured its not going to compete with Corolla as Corolla is mostly demand of families & rent a car people who need to fit in at-least 5 people but Yaris cannot fit in more than 4 so I am actually seeing used Corolla prices going to increase. Yaris may be used by some for Careem/Uber but that too is not very likely since no one invests 2.3+ Million on Careem/Uber car.

You are right about the size but Yaris is a replacement of Xli, Gli and will most definitely compete with old Corollas. Pakistan works a lot more on the price tag and perceived value of things than specific features. You may still be right about the old Corolla price increase though ,hopefully not.

So let me tell you why I am saying this. I was aware of launch of Yaris in last year with tentative timelines of 1st quarter of 2020 but I still choose to buy a new Gli in last week of December 2019 why because I knew Yaris to be smaller and I have 5 adults in my family so surely they are not gonna fit in Yaris and secondly I was aware of end of 1.3 variant of Corolla which at best I can afford now or 2 years down the road and I knew new Model Corolla being least 1.6 will not be in my range. So features and price is not the only factor in Pakistan because normally we have bigger families of least 5 people mostly and we normally like to travel together so this is the case which plays a decisive role. Also on similar lines when BR-V was launched people said its Corolla killer because it can fit 5 or more people and its high as well so it should damage corolla sales but everyone knows what happened to BR-V. With regards to rent a car people I know a few and was myself involved in this business at some point so I can easily say Yaris is not gonna be there choice because rent a cars normally chauffeur driven so it already reduces seating capacity to 4 in corolla and in Yaris it will be 3 so not many people will opt for it very same reason is that you don't see a lot of City cars as being used on rent a car alongside hard suspension although its way more fuel efficient than Corolla.

The case with city is not space its that it cant handle the abuse like corolla and even if it does the repairs are going to be costly and this is the case with every honda if space was the factor then why is not civic used in this business ? the reason is what i mentioned above. brv obviously did not sell as much as hondas other cars but still i see a lot of them daily on roads and that means people have bought it .

Can someone explain difference between Grande cvti and yaris 1.5 AITV fully loaded in term of goodies provided in both other then engine specs and body size as both are top models of its kind

By looking at enthusiasm of my fellow pakwheelers , i am astonished that instead of getting normal daily driven cars such as Camry , Accord or Avalon or even basic corolla/civic which are used all over the world. We are so much happy to get a C segment entry level sedan with ugly looks.No wonder how big 3 earned billions from our poor nation.

you should not be astonished over the fact that there's a lot of difference in economic factors of the countries you mentioned use camry accord as basic daily driven cars and Pakistan where majority uses chingqui and bikes for daily driving. hence these C segments are quite a big segment for as per you already mentioned "poor nation "

Excluding engine and body size, Yaris doesn't have cruise control, paddle shifters, rain sensor, android infotainment system, auto leveling bi-xenon headlights, lack of projector headlights as well (still a reflector), retractable side mirrors and that might be it. Yaris i think might also have same torsion beam suspension, yokohama tyres with 15 or 16 inch hyperfinish alloy wheels

Out of all these additional features... to me cruise control, retractable mirrors and projectors lamps are most important.. rest can be ...

Everyone have there own opinion. I am still astonished and worried that daily driven cars of our people are bikes and chingqui as you mentioned. But problem is how long will it take to improve?
When better options are available no need to get excited over yaris.
Hope this clear my point.

How is engine control while moving downhill in cvt transmission while using manual mode.. like using M1 or M2 in case of بہت زیادہ اترائی

Very convenient due to M mode downhill is no issue
