TPL Car Insurance

I have bought my new car from Toyota Township Motors in September 2016 and got insurance from TPL which is called K4K insurance where they have told me many of the benefits of this insurance policy. I have paid 78000 as my first year premium.

Recently I had some issues and incident happen with my car and therefore I have been asked to go to Toyota Sargodha Motors so the car been inspected by "Muhammad Akram & Co" surveyor appointed by the TPL. An estimation has been made by the representative of Toyota Motors and been sent to TPL for further action.

After making almost 50 phone calls, 30 e-mail and massages finally TPL, finally TPL has asked me that they cannot give me my claim and they can only manage some of the repairing things for the car but Toyota representative had made estimation of totally replacement of damaged items.

In the opinion I can only say that car insurance in Pakistan is nothing more than a fraud which they are just making money out of it.

It is of course fraud bro . They will make stupid kind of excuses . better to keep some money saved in your bank for this purpose rather then giving money to these companies .

This is really serious my car has been inspected by Toyota sargodha motors and they made estimation of work is 92,000 but TPL only approved 15,000 out of it and they approved for repairing not replacing of damage items. Better don't go for TPL.

As I got news from 3 different people about 3 different companies I believe everyone doing same, TPL promised that under 25000 claim doesn't need any survey and now for this claim I went twice for survey, 30 phone calls 10 emails and several complaints on portal no response. Finally I believe insurance companies are nothing but a fraud.

Car insurance in Pakistan is a joke. Sure you can get a claim, if they like you or you have a danda.

A five year old Honda city still holds 80-90% of it's value but they only give 50% if it's stolen or written off.

Bhai ALWAYS get insurance from some big and reputable companies e.g. Adamjee, Jubilee and EFU. All other companies are either fraud or create a lot of headache when it comes to processing the claims. Askari insurance is also good.
Upon extensive survey of almost all the insurance companies in pakistan catering motor insurance, I have come to this conclusion that always have insurance from some reputable/big company and always ask people and the clients before goong for a particular company regarding the claim processing of that company. TPL, United, Ali Co. , and many others sab tang karti hain. Pehle bohat meethi meethi baten karte hain aur cheque milte hi inka attitude dekho.

And also: never ever get insurance recommended by the dealership. In sab k commission hote hain aur ye customers ko bewaquf bna rahe hote. Always do proper research before opting for anything.

I got my car insured from tpl in 2015. They told me sir never leave ur city w/o informing us otherwise ur car will be locked. One day i left for islamabad and forgot to inform them. I reached there w/o and interuption and got no call from TPL. So this is only BAKWAS COMPANY and FRAUD! Anyone planning to get their car insured from them, PLEASE STAY AWAY! they will highlight many benefits but none that the fulfill!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha many times my car been locked inside my house or within my city, once it has been locked on margala hills for 3 hours i was stuck on mountains to wait for their technician to come to detached jammer.

I've had experience with IGI and EFU and claimed the below without any hassle.

Year 1 insurance claims

1. IGI - City side mirrors. Fully covered, only had to pay labor.
2. EFU - Corolla front bumper (6"*6" piece repainted) + both side skirts, didn't pay a dime and no run arounds

Hmm. Regarding IGI why labour paid? If it's 1st yr their policy is 5% depreciation for parts. Not labour and services. So i think what u paid must be that 5%. Not the labour. Plz correct me if am wrong

It is a fact that when we focus on repairs using the insurance companies, things always end up in bad situations. Either they dont accept the claim or if the work is done under insurance, it is usually pathetic. One must keep in mind that insurance is actually beneficial in case of car theft. All insurance companies are the same and the thing is that you have to know someone to get the claim managed properly. I am with TPL since 8 years now and never had a problem with them however; their tracker always does shit many times and needs replacement. EFU and Adamjee are also good in claims. Like I said, all are the same and if i didnt know people in TPL, they would treat me the same. Whenever i insure my car, I keep in mind the car theft and if that happens (may Allah forbid), I can have the money back (after many deductions ofcourse).

I am pretty sure Honda Gateway (Lahore) said that there will be labor charges. They were in the vicinity of 1500. I remember paying around 3500 with the total bill of 37k for side mirrors. So I guess the 5% depreciation comment is true.
