And here is a brief year wise travel log:
1990
Visit to Qatar and KSA
1992
Did my first ever trek in then dense forest of Changa Manga. Ofcourse, there were elders with us then but it was scary
1994
My first ever trip to Galiyat. It was family visit so no trekking involved but it was the birth of landscape photographer in me as 30% of the shots taken with film camera (4 rolls) were of mountains etc. My family members accused me of wasting so many pics but i loved those shots and for months after i was nicked and teased by the phrase "kya scene hai ... pic le lo".
In same trip, i visited the capital Islamabad for the first time and visited all the famous locations.
1995
First real hiking trek of my career
It was on Kirana Hills in Sargodha. Its PAF restricted area so outsiders are not allowed. The hiking trek to the top of Kirana Hills is 4.5 km and takes around 2 hours. We came down running in a x-country style race
1995
Visited Chashma Barrage and Jinnah Barrage
1996
Visited Kallar Kahar for the first time and hiked to the top of the mountains behind TDCP Kallar Kahar. The view from the top is mesmerizing specially if u look back toward Lake.
1996
A fun trip to Sheher-e-Quaid Karachi. Regular places like Clifton, Manora, Mizar-e-Quaid, Tariq Road, Saddar, HBL, Safari Park etc.
1997
First camping experience in Lower Topa, Murree for 3 nights and 4 days in April.
This was officially a trekking trip and we did following treks:
1-Jheka Gali to Bhurban
This is a very scenic trek and passes through beautiful villages.
2- Khaira Gali to Ayubia
This one is very famous on PW and everyone knows about it.
3- Lower Topa to Patriata
Not a common trek and this one requires customization. Towards the end of the trek, u have to make out your own way to reach Patriata
It was teenage and Mall road of Murree was a must every evening u know what i mean
1997
Again went to Galiyat in July for a summer camp in Khanaspur, Ayubia for almost 10 days.
We started to feel like locals as going up and down to and from Ayubia was our daily routine
And sometimes twice a day.
Treks done were:
1- Ayubia to Dunga Gali
2- Dunga Gali -Mukshpuri-Nathia Gali
3- Miranjani
1998
Visited Peshawar and Kohat and the famous Darra-e-Khyber.
All around the way i noticed people playing football and volleyball instead of cricket back then.
1998
Another trip to Karachi but official this time. Stayed at Masroor base. And visited Clifton, Hawks Bay, Paradise Point, Thatha, Makli, Kenjhar (Kalri) Lake. Visited one of the water parks as well but cannot recall the name. I think it was opposite to Aladin.
2002
A big gap in between for 4 years before any significant travel.
Started again with Khewra Salt mines and Katas Raj temples.
2004
Another trip to galiyat. Routine stuff and no trekking this time.
2004
Visited Peshawar, Mardan and Noshehra on an official trip
2005
This was the year of revelations
I had never gone beyond Galiyat and had no idea about the beauty of the areas beyond.
The year started with a June trip to Khaira Gali. One of the friends has a home there big enough for 15 people and we stayed there.
It was second time i did Khaira Gali to Ayubia trek.
2005
The time arrived for new worlds to open and Galiyat lost their charm forever
My first ever trip to Kaghan Valley !!!
Visited normal locations like Shogran, Sri, Paye, Saif-ul-Muluk, Batakundi, Jalkhad.
Attempted Ansoo Lake but failed near Maidan area after base camp. I drank milk which is not digestible at such height and started feeling ill.
This was our first real test of altitude sickness but everyone performed well.
2005
Unfortunately, this was the first and last time we saw Balakot in its original shape and earthquake hit in October. We arranged for two trucks; one with tents and other with routine life stuff plus medicines. Our base camp was mashis factory in Mansehra and we expanded the Punjab Medical Camp from 15 beds to 50 beds and worked there for 2 nights and 3 days.
Experienced many aftershocks. Also, visited Balakot and Astagfirullah was the only word we could utter and asked forgiveness from Allah Almighty.
The reason we visited Balakot was to check on family of our contact in Balakot who lost his brother, sister and bhabhi plus 2 kids in the catastrophe.
2006
It started with an official visit to Dubai for 3 weeks.
Went to all the malls, beaches, desert safari, theme parks etc.
2006
Another trip to Khaira Gali in same house.
This time we went to Thandiani as well.
2006
First trip on KKH. Had to stay in Chilas for 2 days due to floods destroying a bridge. Visited Babusar Pass from Chilas side. There was no sign of road in those days and it was pure stone trek passing through homes and villages as if we were trespassers in their backyard.
Crossed the bridge area on foot and took another jeep from other side and went to Fairy Meadows.
2007
First winter trip and experience of snowfall in my life
Galiyat trip in January.
2007
The most hectic trip of my life was Swat valley. We stayed at Malam Jabba Army Guest House. On first day we reached Malam Jabba. ON second day, we visited Kalam and Lake Mahodand and came back same day to Malam Jabba and then third day reached back home :-#
The best part was swat river freezing water swim party
2007
The big trip came in July which is now on PW as well.

2007
The year is not finished yet and the 4th trip was again to Galiyat in winter and again we were lucky to see heavy snowfall in December
Trekked upto PTDC Ayubia under the chairlifts in knee height snow.
2008
For first three months of 2008, i was on a trip to South Africa.
Places visited include Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Ermelo, Nelsprit.
I visited countless places there as South Africa is a tourist paradise.
Major places include Mpumalanga province which has hundreds of waterfalls and the famous spot called "God's Window".
Major hiking trek was to the world's second highest waterfall called " Tugela Falls". Its situated in Drakenzberg Mountains and is 12 hours trek of 11 km.
Till todate, this was the most difficult trek my knee joints have ever experienced. First part of trek is easier while in second part, you have to find your way through big boulder stones.
2008
My second trip to Kaghan Valley and attempted Ansoo Lake again. This time crossed the Maidan Area and climbed midway through the first biggest mountain after maidan area but snow was very slippery and we were not properly equipped so aborted when we literally started to slip down :S
We also visited Lalazaar, Nuri Top, Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top. The road was not like now in 2008 and one had to pass through Kunhar for quite long patches after Jalkhad to reach Besal.
2008
Thandiani - Nathia Gali 3 days trek.
My bro did this while i gathered all the information but could not travel myself.
2008
Shifted to Kuwait and am still here doing my job
2009
It was a quiet year for trekking and only trip was of Egypt which is also now on PW:

A short visit to Nathia Gali and trek of Miranjani.
Change of plans and instead of Gilgit Chitral, i had to opt for Kaghan Valley again though my plans were otherwise but jo Allah ko manzoor
