Trek to Dudipatsar for a couple

Hi Pakwheelers,

I am planning to go to Naran with my husband after Eid. I want to ask few questions, if anyone can help,

1. Can we camp on lake saif-ul-maluk overnight. It will be just two of us, would it be safe ? Are there families camping there in August ?
2. Can we trek to Dudipatsar ? Can families or couples trek to it ? If yes, can somebody help where to find a group or guide ? Or can we trek without help, just with maps etc, on our own ? Where to find info about the trail in that case ?

I dont think it is wise to camp overnight at Saif Ul Malook. There is a hotel there probably better to stay there. Never been to Dudipat Sar Lake so others can guide you beter.

u can camp at saiful malook i dont think its unsafe there will be many campers there..... if u r alone then dont camp.....

at dodipatsar i am sure u wont face any problem its also a beaten track and many ppl r there... its better to travel in a group though...

i would nt advise to camp at saif al malook(although i have camped twice but we were all boys)....as now a days the conditions of the Kaghan valley are nt safe ...i have been robbed at Naran after the bridge of bazar while we were sleeping in our camp with 4 friends of mine in a camp and there were total 4 camps ...all were robbed 1 by 1 and no action could have been taken against them ...i would suggest u to visit Naran and rome about here n there ...visit saifal malook and other surroundings and enjoy ur trip.
it is better to be safe than SORRY...
so a big NO from my side...

My husband asked Mobeen Mazhar about going to dudipatsar with family,, he told that there would be no security isues and camp near the village in mulla ki basti,,, becz of some reasons me n my hubby could not go this year but in sha ALLAH next year we both ll go there,,, you also must go,,,

@mrs.haris,,, i'v done ansoo lake with hubby last year ,,, asifcae and mobeen mazhar can guide you best about dudipatsar lake,,,, mobeen mazhar is a trekker and nature photographer and a very informative tourist,, he guide almost everythng, i.e. the difficulty level of trek, security issues, how to get there, what is best season to do any kinda trek,,etc,,,

yar Asif bhai @asifcae ne valid Baat ki hai. Simple si baat hai k couple Saif ul malook visit kre. Agar groups camping kr rahy hon aur families bhi hon to ye couple bhi camping kr le. Otherwise sham ko wapis a jaye.

Dudipatsar trek pr family ka jana koi Nai Baat nahi hai. Ye Trek wesey bhi secure hai Lakin agar Group k sath jaya jaye to phir to bilkul koi issue nahi hai. Hr saal groups k sath females bhi Jaati hain. Main aik Group ki picture share kr raha hn jo 30th June 2013 ko Dudipat gya tha.
