Earlier I had a Hyundai Santro Zing with 1.1 Litre Engine and 63 bhp, I used to love taking that car in hills due to its amazing power to weight ratio and high seating giving good view outside. But it was not safe for highways as it did not have the ABS or Airbags neither the build was strong enough.
But with VW the problem that I faced in the hills was its poor power to weight ratio as it has 1.2 Litre engine with 75 BHP and it kerb weight being 1200 kg. It is great on highways due to its much better driving dynamics but not a great car to play with in hills except that it has good bottom end so it was not a big problem, and the sense of safety that comes with a VW.
