Trip from DELHI to SHIMLA, India with a friend

Will try as suggested. Shimla Railways is one the UNESCO's World heritage so have been shown in number of documentaries. next time i plan to ditch my car and travel to Shimla directly by train. We have to take a train from Delhi to kalka from where the toy train takes up to the shimla city.

Yes it is beautiful but now commercialised a lot, also due to the reason that it is the State Capital and that was the reason to move up to Narkanda to avoid the crowd of the city and experience the true nature.

next I will upload my trip to another beautiful part of the Himachal Pradesh in Kullu district which I did in monsoon so it will be all green and not all white like this.

Welcome to Pakwheels. Fantastic thread! Thanks for sharing. My Maternal Grandfather was stationed in Shimla before partition as a Civil Engineer in Railways so I have heard a lot of stories and description of Shimla from My older Khala and late grandmother.

In my opinion, Shimla is the Indian counterpart of Murree minus the fantastic railway track. Very similar.

In this pic if you can see the Information Display of the car in the middle of the Instrument cluster you can see the temperature to be 2 degrees with the snow sign besides it showing that there are chances of snow fall.
