Trip to Kashmir Neelum Valley and Jagran Valley

Road to Muzaffarabad is reasonable; its not that good and not that bad either; there are few bad patches

we 7 friends r going to neelum valley, almost all areas in 7 days, Jagran, Sharda, Kel, Taobat, Shounter, Arang Kel. We hav gathered all other info but not sure about weather. Is it mild like Naran or chilly

Asad, first of all 7 days are best to explore Kashmir. Weather in Neelum Valley is like Naran, Kaghan as you know river neelum flows nearly parallel to Kunhaar. Sun is bright and you will feel hot in the sun while in shade its comfortable. At night some warm cloths will be required and incase of rain, ofcourse warm clothes.

For everyone, please take sun block with you and use it regularly.

but i want to tell some thing; camera cant do justice with the beauty. It cant capture it the way it actually is. Experience from naked eye is unexplainable.

here we go again guys.

We had cold drinks in Muzaffarabad and filled fuel tanks of bikes. A lot of roads are under construction in Muzaffarabad. We moved ahead and crossed the Quiaid-e-Azam bridge(if i am not wrong please correct me if i am) and moved towards the chowk which bifurcates the road to Neelum valley and Abbotabad.

Dear Faisal, I saw a family from lahore and they were traveling on hiace and they went upto sharda. My suggestion is that you start early in the morning (4 or 4:30 am) from ISb and have breakfast in Kohala. Then leave for Muzaffarabad from Kohala and reach Kutton and have overnight stay there. Next day go to Sharda and stay there or you can stay in Kale as well. On 3rd day come back to Kutton and visit Jagran valley on same day and night stay in Kutton. 4th day leave for Islamabd. You can change your plan a bit but i am recomending this as Kids would be accompanying you and long journeys are tiring for them.

Pictures from here to onward are of neelum valley and during the whole journey Neelum flows side by side most of the time wildly and some times mildly. The air changes its smell as more deep into valley you go. People are nice rather very nice. language is no barrier, even kids and elders can speak very good urdu and understand you clearly.

Road upto Karen is in very good shape and its not hard for any car or vehicle. There are few patches where some work is going on but overall upto karen its in good shape

Due to 2010 floods mountains faced erosion and you can see it in above picture and other damage was caused bu earthquake. Guys next picture was the view which amazed us as we took a sharp turn on Neelum road and that view became the encouraging point for our next few days.
