Yes, both my cars have similar powered engines with completely different characteristics. The K24A3 has to be revved to get the power whereas the L15B7 Turbo is happy to purr at much lower revs as lots of torque is available after around 1800 rpm which is when the turbo spools up.

Oh no k24a3 has a good torque graph.
Yes that how L15b7 setup with small turbo so it can pull the chassis. But keep in mind they both came in different chassis (here). If you swap a k24a3 in that same chassis means civic. It will be a different story.
Dyno graph can tell where peak torque kicks in and i can tell you k24a3 will produce more then L15b7 and with better range.

I'll be highly surprised if this K24 makes more torque than L15 Turbo below 3k rpm or so.

The civic also weighs less than the accord and your k24 is on stock tune. Also the k24 was designed to be this way to have less power and good fuel economy on lower revs and good power on higher revs. Thats the vtec philosophy

Of course there are many other factors if we choose to go down that road.

under 1600 turbo engines in gasoline & diesel are turbocharged. Will prefer 1200 diesel turbo over any 1600 efi. I admire our eastern neighbors almost every brand name is producing diesel variants equipped with turbo chargers. Suzuki & Nissan being diesel leaders there for under 1600 cc diesel engines

You'll be surprised sir? That's really common check out the torque figures and hp figures of k24.

And remember you're generating more heat while being on turbo.. For L15 turbo many aspects will make your performance vary... But obviously k24 will be way ahead even being na...

Not talking about the outright figures, but just the day to day usability of low end torque. Even if we go by Honda's quoted figures, the peak torque of K24A3 comes at a much higher rpm.

I agree that turbo is much more susceptible to heat soak, poor fuel, etc.

Their torque is shifted to higher rpm. Just after vtec engagement.
But still being that displacement matters.
Take an example of d16 non vtec and d16 vtec. Engine without vtec will have better torque at lower rpm ranges. Honda is all about HP.

I agree with all this and am a fan of VTEC. But it's useless in my K24A3 because it engages at 6k revs where one hardly ventures. Coupled that with the tall gearing of the 5sp auto, it means that even if I wanted to, I would only be able to experience VTEC in first gear.

Yes and this is around where vtec engages.
In Stock tune 4500rpm is where torque kicks in.
You can only feel the difference when it is swapped in lighter chassis then accord and manual.

Sadly yes. Tall gearing, heavy chassis, car wants to stay at as low rpm as possible and is always in a gear higher than what you need, and the fact that DBW throttle seems to be programmed to open the throttle 25% on a 50% depression. All these ruin the experience of the K24.

what are the pro of turbocharging it?
Does it has the same process of Installation as patrol engine?

Principal is like same.
But factory turbo and factory N/A engines are different. In terms of internals, compression ratio and manifolds etc. From factory n/a engines have high compression which doesn't work in the favour of turbo. And Diesel engines compression are already higher then petrol engines.
Power should be your aim if you want to turbo an n/a otherwise you're wasting money and time (in my opinion).

Those who knows the compression ratio and the exhaust pressure cycling to drive (engage) the turbo at desired rpm. RPM to Power band boast is most critical aspect when installing an after market turbo kit. @VCheng @Xulfiqar

Any diesel engine can be turbocharged, but to do it well is difficult, and to make it reliable in the long run is harder still. For the budget to do this properly, getting a larger displacement engine is usually a better option.
