i have my hybrid Honda Fit turbo.it had LEA 1500 cc engine before, I had turboed it but maxed at 200 hp. So much less potential.
Swapped k20 typre R. Enjoyed for a while than still not enough. Went NA route and spent a lot on built motor, high compression pistons, rods, valves sptings, cams, intake, header etc etc. made 290 Hp. enhoyed for a while but bored. now its a k24a3 turbo. Its near 340 hp now and waiting for big injectors than i will up the boost to have bear 450-500 hp.
Its true, once you turbo you will not look back.its worth the money and its super reliablle too if you dont skip any shortcuts. Especillay the tube. i am not talking about the tune which local mechanics called wehn the clean the sprk plugs and throttle body etc etc.
mine is on Hondata flashpro,Hasport mounts,Gt 3076 turbo. The torque is insane.starts at 2500 rpm and full at 4500 rpms. The car just moves. using An lines and fittings, self imported. Every thing done myself mostly. Whole exhaust is 304L stainless steel and the sound is eargasmic.
downlside..... always use high octnae
but worth it
Lot had to be done to fit this setup in such a small engine bay.
My advice..........Go all in or dont do it. People who do half heartedly and without planning and low budget. Most important are a quality Turbo, fuel pump and injectors,FPR and tuning setup and proper tune(dyno or street both are ok but i see here in Pakistan tuners only tune WOT not the other part of map, eg partial throttle . That is where the car will spend it most time running. So if that is not done right to get alomst zero fuel trims and engine durabilty will be compromised) .Plus the guages are must especially with an alarm. They saved me multiple times.
Here are some memories when it all began. You can see how small is engine bay
Vid of dyno when it was NA
Vtec at 5100 RPMS,notice the sound change. Its real vtec which k-series has.So remarkable and eargasmic
