All new 2019 Toyota Corolla iM Hatchback [ North American market ]
This should give you enough idea how the 12th generation Corolla sedan would look like as far as exterior / interior design philosophy. In Europe known as Auris but with slightly different styling on exterior.
Because Auris/ Corolla hatchback shared identical components on inside and out in previous generation, we can assume that something similar will come to 12th generation Corolla in less than a year time. Also 12th generation Corolla will be a global model so we might see a uniform model across different markets, Europe / Asia / North America.
In US the Corolla hatchback will be offered with a a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated direct injection four cylinder engine with Dual VVT-i. six-speed manual gearbox. The other transmission option is the Dynamic-Shift CVT, which has 10 simulated gears, a sport mode, paddle shift and what appears to be the world's first introduction of a special, more powerful launch gear in a CVT.
