This is a private import . This gray Hybrid corolla was for sale on pakwheels Facebook groups few months ago.

Additionally, Indus dont use Islamabad plates for their underdevelopment vehicles. They use Karachi registered.

Don't most private imports come from Japan? And this isn't the JDM model.

The importer must have gone through a lot of hassle for getting this global version.

The one you found had yellow plate on it and most probably a UK import. UK varaint is the same one now recently spotted again.

Why you haven't mentioned about the new M series engine which are being used by the vehicles produced under TNGA? Will we not get these newer engines in 12th gen?

Bhai the M20 FKS engine is not available for sedan in the RHD market. It is specific to LHD Sedan/ USDM , while its available on both LHD as well as RHD hatchback.

The engine is already mentioned in the post.. the M20 engine is not available anywhere in ASEAN and specifically Thailand, the Toyota Indus principal.

With the recent Civic XI ASEAN launch, Corolla 12th Gen holds a trump card with 1.6 engine in my opinion and can definitely get some sales going due to lower starting price than Civic. It will be a Yaris vs City 6th Gen, all over again I reckon!

Yes, plus the 12th gen is more competitive in looks compared to previous gen, Civic X has a huge hype in Pakistan mainly due to its shape, but civic 11 is more soft in aesthetics compared to X, so competition will be based on reliability specs and price.
I hope they give push start in the 1.6

The new 1.6 Altis at 3.5 mil would do very well if it's appropriately specced by Indus. Hope they don't make it the new XLI.

Corolla wins hands down in terms of exterior but civic has blown every car in the competition in terms of interior look and size. Many call it equal to the size of an accord from a couple of generations ago.

The corolla should have the edge to be more practical since Indus has a good network of suppliers compared to honda, they add in a little more practical stuff like rear-folding seats, extra lights in the vanity, toyota connect services and great aftersales.

Any expected date for launch of Toyota Corolla 12th generation in Pakistan?
Will the hybrid 1.8 variant be launched too?
Currently I'm using Prius 2014 and looking forward to Corolla Hybrid 1.8 as perfect replacement!
