You're right but like I said earlier we need to discourage dealer mentality at least on Pakwheels. As other members have written, it is the cheating and immoral tactics of dealers/investors which frustrates genuine buyers and sellers and has resulted in chaos in used car market. I shall narrate a short story of my brother, who sold his Santro some years ago.
My brother uploaded an add of his sparingly used well kept Santro, which he had bought new. A person came to his office and introduced himself as Branch Manager of a courier company in Blue Area. He was keen to buy that car but requested my brother to lower the demand. His plea was that he was a genuine buyer, who needed car for his family use but had limited affordability due to being a middle class working professional. My brother honored his request, reduced the demand considerably and did not wait for better offers. The car was sold to that person, mainly out of sympathy.
Just two days later I saw that car at a showroom. I stopped by and asked the dealer about the demand. To my shock and surprise the dealer was asking much more than what my brother had sold that car for. When I told my brother he was also shocked and angry with the buyer's blatant lies. That investor wanted to buy cheap and sell for a handsome profit, which he did. There are hundreds of such stories of cheating and worse fraud.
Dealers and investors have polluted used car market beyond any doubt. There is no harm in doing legitimate business and earning livelihoods but dealers and investors can't live without their lies, deceit and fraudulent activities.
