How long does it take to transfer an Islamabad-registered vehicle?
I submitted a complete application on 30 June 2025 and paid the fee. However, when I check the Smart Card Status on the ETO Islamabad website, it still says “In Process,” and the Check Vehicle Details option still shows the old owner’s name.

Interestingly, when I check the vehicle details on the City Islamabad app, it shows my name as the owner. They told me that the card has been sent to NADRA for printing, but there’s still no update on when it will be delivered.

Am I the only one facing this problem with ETO Islamabad, or have other users experienced the same? The last time I applied for a smart card—about 4–5 years ago—it was delivered within 15–20 days, but this time it’s taking much longer.

This means they are still looking for the file. Is it a vehicle which has not been transfered in a few years? Usually it takes them some time to find it, then continue the process.
Happened with my car recently, last activity was 10 years back.
Someone had to go to the store room and give the store keeper "a pat on the back" to get things processed. I waited 1.5 months before someone patted the fellow and then it took 6 days for the rest to happen

My experience with alto is okey but it's not as fuel efficient as people think it is,
Built quality is okey as it's a 660cc k car
Interior quality is surprisingly better than previous generations swift,
(NVH) is Okey,
Ac is also okey but hardly reaches to the rear seat passengers,
AGS is Jerky Not so smooth i Mostly drive on manual mode,
It's just mehran's replacement,

I just checked on Smart Card Status portal. It says this now: "Registration Certificate/Smart Card of Vehicle Registration Number : XXX-111 is PRINTED by the NADRA, it will be received in few days. Sorry for inconvenience, please wait for few days."

Car is indeed a depreciating asset i agree with that part but why that's applied and pressed upon me when i'm selling and why it doesn't exist when i'm buying??
For the sake of Allah Almighty you are selling a suzuki/toyota/honda a ECONOBOX not a rare piece of art or a collection piece,
