I think i shouldn't go for JDM for now, as this is my first car and i don't know much about cars. I do know some people who are car experts and will be helping me purchasing a car, but still i guess getting a cultus might be better option because 2017 model will be 2.5 years used almost, condition might be better.
OR otherwise Passo 2014 maybe.

And I also usually avoid buying from the ones working in forces (in case of direct purchase, direct seller, owner, etc.), or, if the car is on Open transfer letter, and currently registered on the name of the person working in forces. No offense / disrespect to anyone, its my personal experience, as to me, it seems difficult to deal with them.

his reason was also logical. according to him he wanted to make sure that his biometric slip is going in right hands and not in hands of some other dealer.

I usually prefer to buy or sell to people in forces or government setups as like any other dealer or unknown guy they cant get away with anything wrong. can be easily traced and taken to the task if you use right connections. on the other hand a normal guy would just disappear after defrauding me and I will be then left with his cnic only.

Brother, this document is required to be produced by the current seller, at the time of transfer of ownership of the vehicle. I do not know about its much details, however, NADRA office, helpline, etc. and Excise office, helpline, etc. can guide better in this regard.

@muhammadajmal.zia1; I fully agree with @AkbarGr8, that if it is your first car.. go for dil passad Mehro.. it is as cheap to maintain as a motorbike (kuch zara zaida hoo gayai... maybe better to say as a heavy bike like a Yamaha VMax or a BMW or a Harley ) and for sure a ready cash

Regarding getting a Mehran, that's no doubt a good choice for a beginner. But the problem is some of family members will also be commuting with me regularly, That's why i want to get a better hatch back.

Can anyone address if there's any known issues if i want to go for Cultus ? I think Cultus will also serve the purpose well. ?

Well... You can also look for FAW V2; even today, it is value for money, and you can get a very reasonable FAW V2, may be in 12-13 lac PKR, model year 2017.

This is little out of context, but the people around you are so confusing. Once you purchase something, people around will start telling you "Ye kia kiya ? itni jaldi kiun li, VXL laini thi, 15 mein tou Honda city ajani thi" . kitnay ki mili final ..if you don't mind... i mean cars ki market kya chal rahi hai aj kal ... kyon ki Feb. main mere paas bhi koi 15 lakh budget hoga InshaAllah, so i'm also considering my options (used Wagon R/Cultus/City/ or new Alto VXL) car will actually mostly be driven by my wife and for school pick & drop , groceries kind of stuff... so let's see !!

It's a 2018 model (white color), isb registered, 38000 mileage, Rupees 15,40000. Pak Wheels rating for it was 9.3/10, the only bad rating was for tires
You may get a similar model in lesser maybe around 15 . But i had to pay slightly higher priced since the car was in immaculate condition.

If the owner is busy or not willng to come with you, you can get him to any near nadra e-sahulat service centre. You can find about these centres from google. Get that RTO biometric slip. takes around less than i minute to do bio-metric and cost around 300 to 500Rs.

If he has smart card, then smart card, NIC copy of the previous owner and new owner, transfer letter validity of one month if date is mentioned, RTO slip valid for 2 months, Go to Islamabad excise website download and print relevant documents for transferring the car. Check for any online transferring of the car.

If the car is paid lifetime token tax then its ok. if not then you have to pay lifetime token tax before transfer the car, otherwie they wont transfer it. if the previous owner is filer person then you have to pay 21000 token tax and if he is non filer person then 31000. and i guess 2,3 thousand for all process fee etc.

When you will be done with the process, please do share with us your experience because "kab konsa koi new rule etc ajae pata b nahi chalta ".

Good luck with your future purchases. I am not judging female drives but there is high provision of car maintenance when females are driving on the roads. But, you know well how good our bhabi ji is in driving a car. city is good compact sedan car with good fuel average with little hard suspension, but maintenance cost is high little bit. If its ok with you to manage it. will say to get city. other than that, i believe buying a used car, with peace of mind and trouble free car is miracle. so aprt from suzuki mehran "Jo b dil ko achi lag jae and manage b ho jae ankhein band kar k banda purchase kar le."

Well...she's learning how to drive and will be able to by that time...so...the fact is even i don't know how good of a driver she will be : )
