amnesty scheme encouraged ncp.. jo aam banda kabhi zindagi mai sochta bhi na ncp ke baray mai wo bhi ncp ncp kar raha tha..
the smuggling increased to 5 folds.
in future people will prefer never to fall into governments temporary schemes like these and keep legal vehicles

I too was planning to buy a car through this scheme and a very good car dealer told me not to take that option. His words were, "Yay saree phadday key garian hain aur baad main bhee phadda ho ga, iss taraf ka raasta main kissi ko ikhtiar karnay ko nahee kahoon ga." He quoted one example about a 2012 Land Cruiser out of that scheme parked in Islamabad and the owner was demanding Rs. 5 million for it (Rs. 50 lac). The market value of the car was Rs 10 million (Rs. 1 Crore). No buyer showed up who would take the vehicle for half the price. It is still parked in Islamabad. Now it will be impounded by the state, something my cardealer friend predicted and his prediction turned out to be true. So I dropped the idea of getting into this filth of deceit in the first place. In Punjabi we say, "Bharian kamman day bharay nateejay."

firstly to say....yeh order hai aur iss ki hesiat aik order se barh kar kuch nahin..thousands of people who wished to buy cars,,the normal citizenz,,,have paid money to the dealers under this scheme.and all this process is done legally under fbr and customs.
where was the high court at that time...the people will not bear to implement such a useless joke.
secondly mr.super eagle...my cousin has a showroom in quetta..he has sent three land cruisers and 5 prados to isb...and they selled like hot cake...and interesting to know all the cars were demanded by army officers...the car u are talking about seems that..its a fake talk...u are just trying to show your cleverness...all pakistan was gone mad to get the cars at that time and not a single one left behind....

the big fishes have made money out of it by selling these cars to public and now the general public is in trouble who are the owners now. no one will say this ... even no proper FBR official represented the defendants while the hearing
it was all a stage show ... just to pass a legal verdict to make some more money ...
i have all my doubts in the honesty of the people involved in this whole episode ...
if CJ had been neutral he would have cancelled the license of these people who woke up after 2 months ...

I have bought surf via this amnesty scheme.. Fbr Dogs are welcome come n take my Jeep n I ll kick them on there asses.. I don't know why people saying this very good step.excellent step..etc...oo bhai pehle supreme court marri ve thi jab announce hui sceheme ussi din nahi keh skte thay kuch? plus whats wrong if government give some relief on taxes? government ney konsa big fishes k lye ye sceheme announce kee thi? everyone was allowed to get a ncp car n get it legal..i dnt know whats wrong wid our people..:-/

Dear honorable courts,

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Hence this delay in you guys delivering this decision has caused the decision to turn from just to completely unfair. The least you guys could so is at least issue an order to arrest all the first owners of such vehicles and ask them to return the differential amount that they took when they sold it off. But I know you won't do it. Because impartiality didn't even cross your blind to the obvious decisions.

I think the detailed verdict is not out yet. It will take a few days. Once it is out then the FBR will file the case against this decision. So for now there is no worries. Met an FBR official today and he said that they have no intention of impounding these cars, instead they'll move to higher court and appeal against the decision. Most likely the High court verdict will be cancelled. These cars are still being registered and according to excise and taxation office they have nothing to do with court's decision. Court has ordered FBR to impound these cars. Now FBR will have to convey to Excise and taxation to cancel the registration of these cars and don't register any more of them, however FBR (according to that official) have no intention of doing so but instead will appeal against it in SC.
Lets see what happens now. Another possibility; govt needs money. It has already squeezed 16.1 billion rupees via this amnesty scheme, which it will never return. May be the owners are asked to pay more tax on top according to law and then they will be declared legal. And then again after 5 years when the new govt comes they will again be declared illegal and the vicious cycle will go on.

This is not the ist time some one owned an ncp car ... Even if declared illegal or to be impounded it will take ages to track these cars meaning ... Almost impossible
Ye Sara drama kisi aik uncle nay sirf is liye rachaya cause usko ncp gadi nae mili ... The judge who gave this verdict his own plot was in a scheme n Malik Riaz qabza mafia took over the whole scheme n now Askari scheme of army housing scheme is on top of that n people r living there ... This FAZIL judge dnt have courage to pass any such verdict against that man cause God knows Riaz Sahab nay konsa lado khilaya hai ...
So I think people who own these cars should relax ... If FBR couldn't appeal it in SC I believe someone who bought few surf n land cruisers will definitely appeal against it ... U all can jointly file a petition against it I think ... N it will take ages IA ... So relax guys who paid their dues through proper channel ...

N all the individuals who owned these cars cause they were the ones who did the ist wrong ... It sounds simple my friend. But its not that simple.

1st, govt is in dire need of money so it will not refund the money.

2nd, do you really think people will go and get their cars impounded? Take my case for example. I paid 7 lac for the vehicle and tax paid is 2 lac. So if I return the vehicle they'll return 2 lac. I didn't smuggle it, didn't steal it but got it from open market. The day I bought it, it was as legal as any other normal vehicle. Only hazard was that it has poor resale and unknown history. Now why should I bear 5 lac loss?
I'll rather keep it and take it to my village to use it where I can see multiple NCP cars being used and no one bothers. (Although it will hurt me seeing them driving same NCP vehicle that I bought for 7 lac and they hardly paid 2 to 3 lac for it) :rolleyes:

All those saying scheme is wrong and all that, I do agree but if its wrong then ban it before starting. FC officials and customs made millions out of this scheme when smugglers smuggled the vehicles during this period. I have come to know that a specific rate was fixed for each vehicle for crossing border from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Rate included money for FC officials, customs officials, local magistrates and local police.

After the vehicles were sold to public then suddenly judiciary woke up. Amnesty scheme ended on 6th April and the gentleman who challenged the scheme went to court on 15 April, 9 days after it ended. If he filed the case coz he loves his country and couldn't see its loss then he would have filed the complaint when it started. Where was he when people were being ripped off? Its all a big game for making more money. Also it will be challenged in court that if amnesty scheme is wrong then all those vehicles cleared in the past should be declared illegal. A Pandora box will open.

In the end I don't mind admitting that I have learned the lesson the hard way. Judiciary has become a joke in my opinion. Its just like forming a parallel govt and ordering reversal of every decision taken by the last govt.
