yes my dear,I can also use ncp in village but as I live in city so one car for village is just waste of money and u know majority of the vehicles especially expensive vehicles have been bought by people for use in their homes in city and not for villages. So u will suffer a loss of the duty and taxes paid and the vehicle will never come to road as their will always be a threat of seizure.My sympathies are with the poor owners of amnesty scheme vehicles owners although and I wish that the supreme court give verdict in their favor.

amnesty scheme encouraged ncp.. jo aam banda kabhi zindagi mai sochta bhi na ncp ke baray mai wo bhi ncp ncp kar raha tha..
the smuggling increased to 5 folds.
in future people will prefer never to fall into governments temporary schemes like these and keep legal vehicles

I have bought surf via this amnesty scheme.. Fbr Dogs are welcome come n take my Jeep n I ll kick them on there asses.. amnesty scheme was announced to
-- Let big shots legalize their low priced luxury cars
-- Give opportunity to political parties for buying cheaper cars for election campaign (a kind of a long shot perhaps)
-- Raise funds for elections

Now that all this is over and being an illegal act, SC was asked to make sure no one else takes advantage

another one of SC stunts which has no end yet, those who are not resourceful will suffer financial loss

so anyone selling a crown 01-3 or accord 02-4 unregistered let me know please but demand should be as per the schemes reputation

FC in Balochistan and KPK and Rangers in Punjab and Sindh is responsible for catching smugglers, not the army. Both of these I think fall under Interior Ministry, not the ministry of defense. Army may be responsible for a number of wrong doings but don't drag it everywhere.

We lack moral values............. if some one want to sell theft items, one found lot of customers for that, at that time we don't think that this is not right, same way in this case has done.... the people get financial loss because of their desired blindness. Once the cars had been brought into the country, the government should have made efforts to impound them rather than taken steps to give them amnesty by paying money. It was like letting people get away with murder by turning in cash or asking people to burglarise homes and telling them they won't have to go to jail, just pay some money.

                                          Coming to benefitting the exchequer with 16 billion rupees, the government would have made even more money by impounding them and later auctioning the smuggled vehicles.  It all boils down to the fact that she (the government) was not up to it, rather than highlighting its own shortcomings she (the government) broke the law and now is very rightly being taken care of by the courts.

                                          Even if the army had not stopped the smuggling of the vehicles, it does not justify the vehicles being given amnesty and now the step of the goverrnment has been declared as a violation of the law by the honourable court.  The law has to be supreme and it is.  It the law says it is fine then it is fine, if it is otherwise, that's the way it is.

Aap bilkul theek keh rahay hain. Us garee ka ab frame hee bachay ga because the only way to get rid of the Land Cruiser is to strip it and sell its parts because before long it will be impounded. Even if 100% of Pakistanis want such cars, the court has to see if any such step is according to the law. Wise people stayed away from such cars. As responsible, law-abiding citizens, the orders of the courts are sacred and respectful pieces of documments in civilised societies. That is the way we humans differ from animals living in jungles. In the jungle might is right and in the civilised world right is might.

                                                 If the decision of the court is not implemented by the government, it will amount to 'contempt of court,' and for that chairman FBR will not only be terminated from his service but will also be shoved to the slammer (will have to go to jail).  We already have seen a disgraced Prime Minister (Yousaf Raza Gillani) being showed the door and declared ineligible for contesting elections because he committed 'contempt of court.'

                                                 The government plans to appeal the decision of the honourable Islamabad High Court.  That is the civilised way to approach things.
