Mohsin, over there like the name suggest you got all chori ka maal, but it was also second hand car parts, vintage car and bike parts...old bikes maybe cos my father bought the black and red R12 from there with sidecar for Rs 1250/- in 1969...then later in 1980 we got the Bosch Mag/dynamo for Rs 200/ so any old thing bearings gear wheels forany car which they probably scraped or maybe was stolen cos in 15 mins then can break up a whole car. There is a shop owned by Mr. Naskiwalla only British bike parts...any and most parts.. now a days with the Internet he only wants to send to UK. but in the old days..everyone went to chor bazaar for parts. you also get old furniture, old brass things, antiques.... I once saw a Rolls Royce complete in one shop...years ago
It's difficult to put a price on the rare bikes..because there will be so few of them and now with international prices known..to people. But I know about a year or two ago british singles were offered in delhi at about Rs 70,000/-
But you will get nicer bikes in hyderabad...twins will be more expensive. There is a bike mechanic Sajid who is situated in mahim (next to bandra) he has a whole bunch of these old bikes in two or three small godowns...he says it is his...but he would know the right prices.
