Thanks for the compliment. My liking for certian japanese classics is because of the their practicality of owning and using.
GTOs and Sapporo's are beautiful cars, but very rare, even in countires where they were sold. I have not seen any in Pakistan.

W108s are timeless classics. The coupes and convertibles are the most sought after. I would however suggest that they do have a parts availablity problem in pakistan, and therefore for a good restoration, you may not be able to find some things. For example, the Bumpers and chrome strips on the sides are the most difficult to find. Also, they cost a lot if imported from Germany or US.
The interior of the W108s is relatively simple to restore. If memory serves right, M/s Noor & Sons, off Murree Road in Rawalpindi had quite a lot of the original headlining and seat covering material for the 60-70s mercs. I beleive that the gentleman is deceased now, and hs sons run the shop. You will have to find out if they still have the material. Also, make sure that the wooden parts of the interior are all complete. If they are, it is just a matter of having the wood rubbed and polished.

Saqib Mawaz used to drive an immaculate silver W108 Coupe, which was owned by his father, Brig Gul Mawaz Khan. It had a prancing horse in place of the mercedes emblem on the radiator. I used to see it a lot in the 80s and early 90s in the Pindi polo club (race course ground). Havent seen it for quite a while? does anybody know where it is now?
