Im beginning to like that Cortina. The dash is so reminiscent of a Ford Escort we had in the early Eighties. Love the grilles over the top for the fan/heater.
What are your plans with this ride?? Would like to see it being restored and given some TLC.

Ive seen one very similar Impala near Plaza in beige color. It seems to be driven daily and is in great shape. Unfortunately I dont carry a camera to that area so have no pics to share.

Please buy the Anglia back from that 'gentleman' if you can. A Khyber grille slapped on its nose???? Aaarghh! I thought VW beetles were the most tortured automobiles in Pakistan. I might have to reconsider.

I agree with your view on the prices Kabarias offer. At the VERY most they would be willing to give Rs 20 to 25K for a Minor, that too if they have plans to sell the parts individually which I doubt. There are no Morris shops in Shershah Karachi.

Regarding the earlier posts with the Ponton Coupe, I must thank you for having the faith to mention my name as a potential candidate for restoring this beauty. Unfortunately, had I had the opportunity, I would not have the finances to take up this challenge.
I roam around with my cousin Danyal a lot and see him buy bits for his 115 and 123 series MBs, so have an idea of what kind of bankbalance you need!
If I ever get the chance I will InshAllah do a fintail project somewhere in the distant future. Maybe even a Ponton.
I like your honesty when you shared your financial travails on a public forum. Its amazing to note that you head the VCCCP. Most people would think you had tons of spare cash to throw around! Just goes to show where theres a will, theres a way!
On the same lines can anyone guess what juinor Doctors get as salary here in Pakistan??
