The pictures you posted are of cars belonging to a guy called Mian Ataullaha well known as a mali in lahore.This guy lived on begum road in lahore and had 2 large houses and had the collection of these exotic cars .,with extremly cheap colours.There were Rolls ,Bentlys ,Mercs and limos.its sad to see these cars in such a bad state,once they were considered as status symbols of this mali. and were parked in front of the main hall of PC and avari.
The orange one was a kit car,and all of us were in our college days were very fascinated by it.I once sat in that car also.
I think that chap is dead now.

yes I do.....owner is a rather private person so no names but he is quite knowledgeable particularly on vintage cars and is a hands-on guy. I 'll post the pic once I have asked him. The car is a 1927 RR Phantom 1. There was a Phantom II in Lahore as well which is now with Dr. Qadeer's son-in-law in Islamabad. Pics were posted earlier in this thread.

There were about 10 mercs and 5 othr cars in their car grveyard,in their house there were 2 RR silver shadows and anthr Bently version.There were also 3 more RRs but i kdnt saw thm. i have heard they also have a Lagonda v12,do u kno anythn abt it.

I dnt think the mercs are for sale,thy are their baap ki nishani.The s class was converted in a limo and they also had a E class 99 in pink colour,in thy worst possible condtion.

judging from the pointy grill looks like a late 60s pontiac or an olds not a 100% sure though wow now size really does matter . keep the pics comming did this yank tank have any thing under the hood?

That red car is a Buick convertible early 1960's.

its not the size of the garage, its about your passion and interest, some ppl we know i mean mohsin and me have very impressive cars in their stable but they hardly drive, i know a person who have around 16 vintage bikes in mint condition but he dont know how to ride a bike...., normally ppl collect cars for social climbing or status symbol. Once they bought they will never sell nor they drive and the cars will be out of reach of the true enthusiastic ppl.

the alfa project is slightly delayed.... as the engine is in customs waiting for the Bill of lading to come ... the sender forgot to mail it. I have the other engine so possibly I will get it started before.

I have to order engine mounts.. will probably as a friend to send those so that is is quicker... have the mechanical things dealt with and then send it for bodywork... the new denter who is doing the Z gets the contract for the Alfa ... he is doing a quick job.

those RR pics posted earlier by kc belong to Nawab of Bahawalpur - pics were taken in Karachi in their Malir residence/palace. All these cars are still with the family and in Karachi - location unknown

my apologies for not commenting on the chinese cars. There 's one Zil in Karachi supposedly one owner car in great condition housed in a glass garage in Landhi, Karachi. The owner Waseem sb. was afer my life to see the car and sell it for him. I just couldn;t get time to see the car. If anyone's interested, I can try and look up his no. or maybe mjabbasi knows where his house is in KDA.

no need for any apologies at all. i would be interested in the ZIL could you let me know what model it is and what year. its facinating how during the cold war russia had very diffrent mindsets but the russians still copied american cars the 50s ZIL was again a copy of the packard which was in its doom days. during the 60s ZIL decided copy the lincoln, mohsin bhai could you tell me how many pre war and post war RRs till the 50s are there in pakistan as we speak. not asking any details just how may are left here .

hehe @ the scratching part of you post one sees that too often in pakistan no where else in the world have i seen that activity so much so that even one of pakistan recent law ministers was caught in the act on tv . what is it with us is it a national passtime activity or some thing.any way talking about cars neuro uncle do you have any old pics of a 50s chevy bel air that was in you family?
