440cu is one fine motor, very hard to come across nowdays.. I have a friend who owns a 440sixpack cuda here in the US and i can tell you just one thing, besides it sounding sweet, it is one mean motor if done right..

I really like the way you said how people in pakistan are over exposed to Mbs,lol,being honest that is true and i was also a victim of that growing up in karachi, however there were people in my family like Terry and Bakhtawar mian who had a few nice cars and made me realize that American cars were sweet too

I do need hydraulic valve lifters for my '65 Mustang - I 'll post it's frame no. tomorrow - you can order them through Kanter on phone or online. they shoud cost under $100 for the set of 16 and should weigh under 1 kg. if you let me know mailing address I can order them from here as well. Let me know what suits u.

My trip to Peshawer with Romano in his VW was a memorable one. Hats off to the 85 year old British lady who founded the Frontier Heritage Trust and discovered two Edwardian / Veteren Fire Engines in an old Fire Brigade Station built in 1912.

Here's one of the engin dating to 1912 appx.

actually i was asking this as ive come accross a very powerful engine

a 1968 mercury cougar's
335 hp (250 kW) 390 in³ V8

its in working condition

but doesnt have a gearbox with it

what i wanted to ask is that
what gearbox would suit it

its very hard to finda a beetle with the points you want under 40K, even shershah guys are buying beetle in 30's for scrap. I think around 50 you will get a normal condition beetle.

First of all in which car you want to put the mercury couger engine? torque flight 727 is the best transmission for any american engine but I dont know its available there or not, I have one in spare but it need some work. you can use a borg warner transmission, its available in the wagoneer jeep. Sami vodoo can put some light on this as he is one of the most knwoledgable person on the forum

Ford 390 ci originally came with a Ford C6 transmission. You may find them here with the oldie american car mehanics like Vinoo, Ashraf, Ziad etc.

You can go ahead have them shipped to my house, the add is 8129 mallard shore dr, laurel maryland 20724..Just keep in mind i leave on the 9th from here.. after the T bird story didnt work out this last summer, i went ahead and bought a 55 belair...Im so looking forward to enjoy that, my dad said that while he parked it on the street,someone came n broke the belair emblem...HOw saddening is that !!!!!

buddy i have a nissan L26 transplanted into a '75 toyota trueno.

i need a 320ish cfm carb for the engine. have tried a couple of simple ones but am considering a performance / semi-performance carb. i have dry-type NOS kit installed so wanna get the max out of the setup.

I think I have a 750 CFM double pumper, but half venturies will open on high rpm so as per my understaning it will work as a 350 plus CFM , its a american carb.

the day i will get one, i surely know it wont have a V8, so ive saved it for that time,

Of course it was a good 100 pages ago and I've tried to search for it, but almost 30 minutes of page flipping hasn't proven successful! my requirement's a 320, and that too at 100% VE......

the stock SU downdraught carb that comes with the engine is supposed to be enough for street and performance but since my engine was an EFI converted to carb before i bought it, i've always been experimenting with the carbs.....

@neuro would be able to shed some more light on it.

if you can point me in the right direction to find a good performance carb at 320ish cfm, i'd really appreciate it.
