@samhassnlook closely at the grille and you 'll see the Austin sign ( I think ). it looks like a seven top hat saloon
yes i did notice the outline that looks like the austin logo , i try to find out what it is. the bonnet is a bit long to be from a austin 7 but im no expert on austins so might be wrong.
There is something I have noticed a few times. Many people in Pakistan mistake an Austin for an Aston Martin. I have heard TWICE of a Mini Austin being called an Aston Martin! The reason was that it was written on the engine...so you get the picture...
Psyborg
They don't even call it "Aston" Martin, they call it "Auston" Martin. Go figure...
@psyborg & samiso true... other classic cars are usually called volkswagens or quaid-e-azam kee car. One guy had the nerve of calling my Lincoln an old volkswagen. The even call my Fiat 500 a choti VW.

Ah the heretics! You might find it funny though, the "cinquecento" is known as a "pot de yaourt" here in France, meaning, a "pot of yougurt" :d.
hehe thats bad but listen to this ,was on the lahore mall road a couple of months ago when 2 or 3 vw beatles passed by out of the blue while i was admiring one of them for being very clean my driver says " ai japan di bari kamyab gadi ai" for those of you who dont know punjabi that would be the japanese have made this very sucessfull car . now thats bad
Gentlemen,
I would be grateful if anyone is selling or knows about old honda dax bikes in Pakistan. Also known as Honda trail sl 70. The bikes were in mainstream production during the late 60's and 70's. Any information on these bikes would be appreciated.
@sami_voodoopot de yaourt s better than 'pan daan' which is also a name given it
@khakiMBI am not sure which bike you are talking about but do know of XL 70 and XL 100 and I would lve to find any of them for myself.
@khakiMBa xl is pretty hard to get hold of a friend of mine who is also a vintage honda motorbike enthusiast restored one a while ago il ask him if he knows of any available .@mohsin bhaimy taya had a fiat 500 in the early 60s and it was lovingly known as a sabun dani "soap dish" im told.
While a visit to a factory in Gulberg i found this lying from the last 30years....
@shani606, Where exactly in "Gulberg" is this factory you saw the car in? is it in the industrial area-pepsi/7up..?
wow one more 57 chrysler, @shani where where???@Azam_aliplease do let A1965 know im back home.
@shanithanks for sharing this find.
@samhassnyes, the name was sabun dani and not paan daan as I had said earlier lol!
@azam_ali and samhassnnya this is near the pepsi factory...but the owner desires to keep it as this car died beacuse of transmission failure and now after so many years it's gear box is on its way from USA.....
@shani606thankyou for giving details. im not interested in buying the car ,im a 50s americana nut and am busy making a list of all that survives of that era . the chrysler would be a great addition .
Isnt this the same car ?
@hunbalvery true i was also figureing out if its the same car by compairing the pics could very well be the same one as it looks recently cleaned
@hunbal
one other car under the cover with the white chrysler, I think its an american iron too,
Car under wraps may be a 56 Chevy? The 57 Chrysler reminds me of the one in Stephen King's book. Was it something similar?
