Finally, the Dhir '64 Lincoln convertible is revealed!! Its a bit worse for wear than I was expecting that that top mechanism has probably packed up years ago but glad to see another long lost car.

@mjabbasi, yes that is Nawab of dir's lincoln.... the car is in pretty good shape.... perhaps the angle on the earlier pic was showing the top to be in bad shape....

i have pics of his mercedes 220s and 280s automatic... will post them later

I am not sure about the old paint job it was done before i bought it. I have reason to believe that this vehicle might have been used by the forces in the desert thus the khaki (camel) colour. They used matt instead of metallic/reflective colours. The intention was, airplanes pick up on reflective paint against the sun whereas matt colour especially if it blends with the terrain is more difficult to track. Thus the army mostly used matt paint. Here is an old photo of the jeep before it was painted.

i have been a "mustang nut" since i was 9 years old....yet i drove a mustang 4 the 1st time ever..this sunday...all cos of mohsin bhai and his open heart:)... atrue enthusiast and the exact opposite of a hoarder in my dictionary!
Junee and i are best buds.the lincoln piks posted by him has original 25k miles on the clock and is garaged.a time capsule like no other, sadly, the owner does not sell...the cars( a 66 220s standing in the open and a 71 280S garaged with 92k org miles) are in dispute and i wonder if they will ever see the light of day

the red 57 bel air conv is a genuine car refurbished abt 10 odd years ago...has a powerglide auto, a 281 Ci , power top and hollywood mufflers..javed ansari sb?..are u listening?
it is a wonderful and pristinely resfurbished car!

Aha! the H word makes another appearance Well said Qasim! The only good hoarder (is that the correct word?) is a dead one
I suspect hoarders here have been responsible for the demise of more cars than rust, accidents and misuse combined.
As for the Dir cars, its curious that inspite of losing so many family members to guns and drugs, the surviving family still cant get its act together. Meanwhile, the cars rot. Sad state of affairs..

the dir cars are VERY salvagable..completely original...minimal rust or wear..if u look at the interior piks closely. the upholstery looks brand new..if they only get out of their insipid mindsets and giv it 2 those hu hav a heart 4 the beauties.....

I can vouch for Romano, you'll enjoy having a long chat with a man as knowledgeable as he is about classics. I had the pleasure of meeting up with him the last time I was back home in Isloo in July last year. Unfortunately all contact since has been through the 'net. Oh and you should see Saqib Bhai as well "Spectra". He's a great person to talk to as well, although I think he's less into American classics.

Big props to you for letting a fellow enthusiast share your wonderful Mustang. I know I would probably have fainted from stress if I were offered it, or if I had to let someone else drive.

My uncle's 1936 Plymouth coupe.it belonged to his grandfather..and was restored in the early 90's by my uncle's father.Right now my uncles plan to restore again as the condition is pretty good for the project.here are a few pics.
