You've never driven a mini have you? or driven one which has been kept in great nick or let me rephrase a mini which drives like a mini and NOT like a mehran vis a vis all the suzuki parts transplanted into it.
I've come across a few minis and i've driven this particular example as well. It goes like a rocket. It has been maintained very nicely by the owner who is an avid enthusiast and a smart man who fixes his cars himself not just someone who calls the mechanic to pick up bits and pieces and the car from the road.
So, mind the mini power.
As for the price it is the owner's prerogative, If you can't afford it, refrain from commenting especially when you dont know jack about said car. Mohsin sb is very right when he says that good original minis are hard to find, esp maintained in such good condition. Actually, finding this one for sale is a very rare opportunity, i would leap at it if i had the money and didn't already have 3 minis parked at home.
Riced up?
Have you ever even seen a mini in proper original condition? I'm guessing no, because otherwise you'd know that this car is a prime example, has all the bits and pieces intact and in fact gleaming. The paint has a few nicks and the rims are local but anyone who has ever owned a mini properly in Pakistan would know why, and im not going to give it away this easily to you either.
As for the price, same thing i said to Qasimshah, just because it doesnt have a 7000cc engine cranking out 500 horses it isnt a classic worth 500k? such open minded people, what a shame we dont have more around, oh wait we do. Shows how dearly we need more of you especially here in this thread.
Oh there is someone dumb enough out there alright, actually many people ignorant enough to be called dumb in my books. And as you can see by Mohsin sb's response he agrees with my definitions.
May god open your eyes to all classic cars, not just those that increase the probability of you buying the stairway to heaven.
Excuse me sir but i thought this was a thread on vintage and classic cars, not Haneef's auto workshop where we get sage advice on "cheap", "economical" and most of all "reliable" cars which can be maintained by a monkey who uses trial and error till he gets it right because see there are so many parts available that he won't ever have to worry.
It will take a smart man to understand what i've written but i believe i've made the theme simple and clear enough for even simple jack.
Ps: I have an '88 Suzuki Fx as well and they are both in a separate classes of automobiles altogether. But for some people ALL cars are comparable. God bless them.
More detail on your mini would be appreciated, looks like a Mk1 austin or perhaps a morris. Whats the engine capacity? are you sticking to the original setup? fingers crossed
