what about the silver 911 targa in Karachi which has a reg no. of 911. There is also a black carrera in Karachi - I saw it in DHA ph 2 having a banana exhaust box being handmade for it

There is a gold-color mid-1970s 911 targa in Karachi. (It may be the same silver targa mentioned a few posts ago.) I remember it frequented the Karachi Gymkhana in the early 1990s.

After last years successful run, the Vintage & Classic Car Club of Pakistan is planning its Second classic car rally from Karachi to Bhurban, starting on 18th November 2011 and reaching Bhurban on 25th November. <o:p></o:p>

We invite you to participate in this unique rally in your pre-1970 classic.. Like last year’s event, this will be a memorable opportunity for car lovers and enthusiasts countrywide to participate in a fun filled drive, enjoying the company of fellow enthusiasts, the cars, as well as scenery and stopovers of our wonderful country!<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
In an effort to make this drive affordable to all, we offer the following low participation package: <o:p></o:p>
The cost per car with two occupants sharing accommodation is offered at Rs.70,000/- This amount includes:<o:p></o:p>
1. Route maps for the journey<o:p></o:p>
2. Backup support, breakdown vehicles and mechanics<o:p></o:p>
3. 300 litres Super grade fuel & 2x4 liter cans of multigrade engine oil<o:p></o:p>
4. Accommodation in Sukker and Bahawalpur, on twin sharing basis.<o:p></o:p>
5. Meal allowance for the entire rally.<o:p></o:p>
6. One way Economy airfare, your city to Karachi<o:p></o:p>
7. One way car transfer by truck trailer, your city to Karachi.<o:p></o:p>
8. Press and TV coverage of the event.<o:p></o:p>

Rally members will make their own accommodation arrangements in Lahore and Islamabad.<o:p></o:p>

As a precaution, we recommend you take out travel and accident insurance for the trip.<o:p></o:p>

18th Nov – Departure Karachi at 7 am reaching Gumbut Hotel, Sukker around 5 pm. <o:p></o:p>
19th Nov – Departure Gumbat at 7 am and reach Bahawalpur around 1 pm. Check in at PTDC hotel.<o:p></o:p>
20th Nov – Departure Bahawalpur at 7 am reaching Lahore around 4 pm. <o:p></o:p>
21st Nov – Day free in Lahore
22nd Nov – Day free in Lahore – open for car show / get together<o:p></o:p>

25th Nov – Departure Islamabad at 8.30 am reaching Bhurban around 11 am. Lunch at the hotel and return to Islamabad departing Bhurban at 3.30 pm<o:p></o:p>

End of Rally<o:p></o:p>

You may confirm your participation by submitting acceptance by paying an advance deposit of Rs.30,000/- by 1st November. This amount will be used for service/recovery vehicles with team of mechanics. Balance if any will be adjusted in the hotel/meal bills.

hello all, looking for a car, it's an Armstrong Siddeley (most likely a Sapphire 346), it was a new direct import in the early/mid 1950's from the UK.

Any info on where it might be would be appreciated as it was last In lahore in the late 80's or early 90's. registration used to be a lahore plate (59 or 555 or something with a 5 in it), but it used to be 2-tone green which it later might have become grey or black.

looking a 1967 mustang hard top on friend's behalf. he left the car at his mechanic in peer wadhai isb and soon afterwards had to go abroad. the mechanic moved the car here and there and at various times it was seen in peer wadhai, g10 markaz isb and cda lot. the car has jhelum numberplate jm 60. my friend has original papers and most of the stuff of the car lying with him. he would appreciate very much any news of the car's whereabouts.
