hmmm...the list of surviving 67 Opels grows.. so the G/11 car is yet another.. that makes a total of 4 so far, including the light blue one in Faisalabad, and a flawless light grey station wagon in Rawalpindi

The Opel on the previous page is a very clean car. Neat.
I have this photo and a Parsi gentleman told me that these folks are Parsis, and probably in Karachi as many where there. He also mentioned that there were quite a number of Opel's in Karachi too. We had more Opel's in Goa, they stopped coming in 1961. The wheel caps are odd, a non standard accessory.
Both these models are Rekords. Between them there were two models.

I received these pictures in one lot. Behind the first picture someone has written "Clifton, Karachi". Seems to be an upmarket place according to googlebaba.
The other three pictures I am not sure, nothing is mentioned, but in the case of the third picture there appear to be Urdu hoardings. Maybe these are pictures from Karachi, someone please comment.

My khaloo's late father owned a Rekord in the same color. I know it's currently parked at my grandparents' house, but I have no idea what condition it's in. It's not a far gone dhancha though- just requires TLC.

Are these Opel's rare? I just remember seeing one rusting under a tree in Askari II in Chaklala back around... '99ish, and that's the only other one I remember.

Thanks buddy, I had no clue about the location except for Karachi being mentioned behind one photo. Basically my photo collection concentrates on the sub continent, I also have a few pictures from Sri Lanka, Burma and Aden which was populated by a lot of people from this part of the world.

The first car should be a Triumph Spitfire with some modifications. The second could be a GM product, difficult to say off-hand which as they were often similar, specially these road barges.

it's standing at my friends place in Switzerland and is used from time to time (including hilclimb events). didn't take any interior shots but it was MINT and is only on its second owner.
