@untame...beautiful spitfire....Its mark 1 or mark two.one of the early examples.it must be between 63 to 68.A very rare spitfire and in very good condition.Is original engine in place???

@all, yes, the Dawn team are trying to put something together.... they have contacted Isphanyar Bhandara (and Shahid Zafar, a little bird told me)
Hope they dont miss out on the good cars out there...
Now, if someone could only prevail on the Golra Sharif guys to show what they have. Can anyone confirm they actually have a Willys Overland?

Just wanted to share my ride's pic, Mazda 1500 1970. i dont know if it is counted as a classic but car is in original condition. It presently has a 2C engine. i am looking for switching it back to petrol 1500 cc. any ideas where can i get the engine in karachi. i have heard very few are left in shershah and not in good condition.

MB 190 SL. I took this picture many years ago at the Siyarrah Pump in DHA Karachi where this car was put up for sale - asking price Rs.150,000/- ...... NO TAKERS. So the owner decided to restore the car and keep it. I last saw the car 8 years ago, it was nicely restored and the original round h/lamps were back in the car. The owner is not selling this car anymore. The first time I saw this very car was at Mr. Nazir Sheikh's house and the car was offered to me for Rs.18,000/-. It was originally Khan of Kalat's car.

Thats a really nice Mazda 1500 you got there. Try and find the original engine and put it back. Though these cars are not yet collectible or desirable by classic car followers but I would put it in a special category of classic cars i.e. cars with which we grew up with and were found in every other home. Cars such as the Toyota Corona 1967 - 71, early Toyota MK II, Mazda 1500, VW Beetle, Morris Minor, MB 200 115, FIAT 124, etc. if in well maintained condition are always desirable and appreciated.

nice to see yr car again. wasnt it on some other thread a while back? I might have written to you ealier too. This Italian design (now its all coming back to me!) was originally supposed to be for Alfa, but they somehow missed out, and the rest is history, or is it? The Japanese automaker gave it a family sedan feel and performance, whereas IF Alfa Romeo had put in their beautiful 1.6, this car would have gone down a different historical route. A classic 'what if' scenario. Well, its still a rare car, with just (if the internet figures are correct) 123000 vehicles produced between 1967 and 1973. The 1800cc version with bonnet bulge and fake air intakes not as classy.

afarooqi, Nice Mazda. I grew up around these cars. Loved the interior on this one. Yours must be a later import (or a reconditioned) as the earlier imports had column shift gears. The frame surrounding the headlamps on the right hand side looks like 1971 while the one around the left headlamps is 1970.

The Merc 600 limo... ex yahya Khan as prez.... is still owned by the GOP ... locked up and probably in tatters

This MB still beats the latest in terms of 'presence'. It is a pity that our GOP ppl don't have the sense to appreciate the quality, looks, pedigree, history of their MB 600 which should be brought back in use for visiting dignateries.

This Packard was spotted in Pindi some years ago. There's a story about a blind rich man with no close legal heirs gifting his house, a V12 Packard and other assets to a Masjid Imam in Pindi. Imam's name was Qureshi. Any ideas?

The way you tell the story behind every classic car is amazing and i think you can easily write a lengthy book with all this info. Your classic car news gathering network is quite good. I wonder why no classic car program is thought of by so many new Tv channels.

@63MGB: thanks. this aint reconditioned but has a floor shift due to a diesel swap yes u r right abt the frames. left one is to be replaced.
